That's a stud of a buck. For sure mount it with the ear tag. I saw a Coues deer mount with an old tracking collar, pretty cool!

How old are these bows? How fast do they shoot?

HAM Hunt in Unit 32 Can I Give you my Javelina?
AZ_SAWBUCK replied to azbullelkman's topic in Javelina
Dude your nuts. Javelina makes the best Italian sausage. I cant tell the difference between it and Jimmy Dean, other than javelin is not as greasy. I usually take mine to a processor, but if you have access to a grinder you can do it yourself pretty easy. My friend buys the seasoning from sportsman's for like $5. Ill drive down to Tucson and take that pig off your hands. Good luck and shoot straight! -
Very true. Thanks for sharing.

ARE YOU ABLE TO PACK COLD BEER IN?

"THERE ARE NO MORE DEER IN 24B" DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. IMHO, ANY UNIT PRODUCE A GOOD TO HUNT DURING WINTER ARCHERY HUNTS. FOR TWO REASONS. IF YOU ARE WILLING TO HUNT AND HIKE YOUR BUTT OFF ON A COLD A** DESERT MORNING AND BOW HUNT YOU WILL FIND DEER, ANYWHERE YOU GO. AND TWO IF YOU DO RUN INTO OTHER HUNTERS IN THESE CONDITIONSTHEY USUALLY HAVE GOOD HUNTING ETHICS AND WILL NOT MESS YOU UP ON PURPOSE. I CANT COUNT THE TIMES I HAVE SAT UNDER A TREE AND WATCHED THE STOCK SHOW FROM A DISTANCE.................. THEN WENT IN FOR THE REBOUND LOL! DONT THINK YOU NEED TO GET MILES BACK IN TO FIND GOOD BUCKS. JUST THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX, HIKE AND BE PATIENT. GOOD LUCK THIS SEASON. JS

There is a predator hunting contest in January, held in Ash Fork every year that you might be interested in. Keep it on the radar. Kill them deer killers! Good Luck.

I'm a little frustrated and could use some knowledge from some of you. I have a semi custom rifle that I recently mounted a new scope on, its a Vortex Viper HS 4-16x50 w/ 1/2moa elevation turret. Got it sighted it in at 200 yards and it seems to be grouping ok. About 1.5" groups at 200. I'm new to dialing turrets so I go to the vortex site and build a drop chart. I set it up in clicks (not MOA) so I could just count the clicks and be dialed in at ## yards. I don't reload yet so I'm shooting factory ammo. Hornady Superformance 180 gr SST. So I set up a paper target at 450 yards. Check my chart....... it says dial 10.1 clicks. I shoot in the prone position off a bipod and used a sand sock with my support hand. Shoot a 4 shot group and am surprised at the results. My group is 12" high and its a 4" group. Does it seem that I messed up the chart some how? What do you guys come up with on adjustment given the load and information given? Is there a better chart or system I should use? I know I should be shooting hand loads but I have to work with what I have right now. Any help would be appreciated. Rifle: Remington 700 .300 win mag, HS Stock bedded, Timney trigger, custom break, Talley one piece rings and bases. Harris Bipod THX Jason .300 HORNADY DROP CHART.pdf

Well I got her dialed in! I met with a buddy and shot through a chronograph. Turns out that my zero for elevation was way off some how. I also ended up switching to a heaver bullet, 180 gr. Federal Fusion. The bullet Chronographed at 2991 fps. So I took this info and made a new chart on the Vortex website. Laid down with a bipod and a good rest under the stock and shot decent group at 350. After a small windage adjustment I backed up to 600 and was very pleased with my group. Those WT bucks don't stand a chance in 24B next week! Thanks for all the suggestions your input really helped!

Anyone know of a good place that would have them in stock and not have to order? I'm down in Willcox right now and Gila in Safford does not have the map I'm looking for (24B). Thx JS
