Total D-baggery. Nothing in the title suggest North Dakota turkey tags, that and elk tags are mentioned at the end of the post. Intent of the post is obvious and any jury would clearly come back with a finding of "D-bag".

No, this definitely puts him in the D-bag pool.

I've been going about this hunting thing all wrong for years. Anyone know where I can get a monkey? http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=W_hkKUCWltc

How does your battery hold up to that? Whenever I use gps functions on my galaxy 3 you can pretty much sit there and watch the battery indicator drop.I shut everything other than the GPS off. I also have the Galaxy S3. I probably get the better part of the day on one battery. This GPS function doesn't seem to be anywhere near the battery sucker of turn by turn street navigation. I bought a few extra Anker brand batteries on Amazon (about $20 for 3) and throw them in my pack as backups. They weigh next to nothing and don't really take up any space. This option gives my GPS, camera, video camera, phone, entertainment, emergecy flashlight, etc. and I'm good for a few days if I can't plug in for a while. This is also one of many reasons why I hate Apple products. Sealed case so no swapping batteries.

I use my smart phone and downloaded the app Trimble GPS Hunt (pro, not free version). My buddy and I "share" a annual subscription which gives us unlimited access to download the most up to date unit specific maps. I dowload the maps prior to my hunt and use offline when back in the woods. I really like it.

Might try this with my 5 year old. Pretty much the same thing.

Great suggestions! -
Congratulations! You had better luck than my son and I.

Is this serious? If it is, you get your username, hunt, and permit login info off of the questionnaire you get in the mail. You can't fill it out until you get that.

I could easily cover my 200 yard groupings with a quarter. Might it have had something to do with the shooter? -
My guess is there is a particular deer in mind that someone was willing to pay a lot to get first crack at.

Couldn't get the wife to go for it. Bump for a nice deal on a nice gun.

Know of any in 24B?

Not sure I understand. Are you looking for advice, someone to guide you, or just commenting? Regardless, you found a great website. Welcome!

FYI, This years Table Mesa Cleanup is scheduled for March 1st. I'll paste the details below: http://azgfd.net/artman/publish/NewsMedia/Volunteers-invited-to-join-March-1-cleanup-event-at-the-Table-Mesa-Recreation-Area.shtml From AZGFD website: Volunteers invited to join March 1 cleanup event at the Table Mesa Recreation AreaPosted in: News Media Feb 19, 2015 Lend your hands to our public lands! Volunteers are encouraged to come out for the Table Mesa Recreation Area cleanup on Sunday, March 1. The area is located off I-17 and Table Mesa Road, about 35 miles north of Phoenix. The Table Mesa area is very popular with recreational target shooters, off-highway vehicle riders, equestrians, mountain bikers, hikers, and others because of its close proximity to the metropolitan Phoenix area. Unfortunately, this area is also prone to illegal dumping, littering, and vandalism. While these unacceptable activities are perpetrated by a small portion of people who use the area, their unacceptable actions can affect the majority of responsible recreationists. As public agencies deal with tight budgets, it is important for responsible target shooters, OHV enthusiasts, and other outdoor recreationists to engage in volunteerism, such as cleanup events, and become ambassadors for promoting good stewardship practices. The Table Mesa cleanup runs from 9 a.m. (check-in starts at 8 a.m.) until 2 p.m. Lunch will be provided to volunteers. Please RSVP in advance by e-mailing evan@treadlightly.org or online at http://bit.ly/1FBdBF7 to help us plan for the number of attendees who will be at the event. Volunteers should bring water, work gloves, hat, sunscreen, trash pinchers, buckets and wear long pants and sturdy shoes. 4WD and OHV vehicles are useful. Thank you to these partners in education and stewardship for supporting this cleanup effort: Tread Lightly!, Bureau of Land Management, Arizona Game and Fish Department, Wildlife for Tomorrow, Discount Tire, Arizona Off-Highway Vehicle Coalition, AZ Firearms, Barlow Adventures, Boone and Crockett, Congressional Sportsman's Foundation, National Rifle Association, National Shooting Sports Foundation, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Safari Club International. The cleanup is part of the “Respected Access is Open Access in Arizona” campaign. A January cleanup at Hewitt Station in the Tonto National Forest drew more than 400 volunteers. Table Mesa cleanup event details at a glance: When: Sunday, March 1, 2015 Time: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. (check-in starts at 8 a.m.) Lunch will be provided to volunteers! Where: Table Mesa Recreation Area (off I-17 and Table Mesa Road) RSVP: evan@treadlightly.org or sign up online http://bit.ly/1FBdBF7 Directions: The Table Mesa Recreation Area is located off I-17 and Table Mesa Road. Head west on Table Mesa Road, then north on the frontage road. Follow signs posted at the end of the pavement. Volunteers will also be on site providing more information and directions. Wish I were in Tucson, I'd have to take a look.

I use Lance Johnson at Dane Customs and highly recommend him. I've tried a few and he is the only one I will use from now on. He fixed my bother-in-laws 10/22. My brother-in-law forgot to take the laser sight out of the muzzle and put three rounds down the barrel. Needless to say, they never left the barrel. Lance drilled it out for him no problem. He is in Chandler off of Arizona Ave and Elliot Lance 480-215-2295

210gr. VLD's thoughts for a 300 ultra Mag.
rossislider replied to SO I HUNT's topic in Long Range Shooting
I shoot the 210s out of my Remington Sendero 300 RUM. I load with exactly 91 grains of Retumbo with the length set to my max magazine length. I would have tried a bit closer to the lands but was limited by my magazine. I have found this to be the case with many rifles, especially when shooting the elongated Berges. Still, I'm consistently shooting sub 1 inch groups at 200 yards. I have an extra unopened box of 100 - 210 grain hunting vlds. I paid $60 with shipping and will sell them for that if anyone is looking. -
Just looked over the list of vendors. Pretty disappointed with the low numbers of outfitters/guides there this year, especially local ones.
-
I've gone a couple of times. My wife I enjoy checking out the displays from all the different sporting goods places, talking to the many outfitters, etc. I guess it all depends on your expectations.
