This stuff can't come soon enough!

I tried to make cookies with the pods from the Mesquite tree in my front yard last year. Big NO BUENO! I'm guessing I need to try a different type of Mesquite pod.

Placed a big back order a couple months of months ago (I do this from time to time) and was just informed this morning that it is mailing out today and I should have it in about a week. I have LOTS of Retumbo, a good amount of RL 22, and a few pounds of H1000 coming. It'll come out to $35 per 1 pound canister. You are welcome to buy as many as you need. Phoenix Customs is good. I've used them and would not have a problem using them again. They are just off of Apache Trail and McClintock. I do prefer Dane Customs in Chandler off of Arizona Avenue and Elliot.

Sportsmans is currently selling their Tikka t3s for $100 off. Part of their father's day special. I have a Tikka t3 7-08 for my wife and son. Fantastic rifle! Hope you find one.

All things being the same (price being the biggest of them) I'd prefer to give my money to the little guy. I shop Bass Pro at times for convenience as it is a couple of miles from my office, but I am not a big fan of their service. They have a few really good reps. But in my experience with them, take their gun counter for example, I usually know substantially more about their products then they do. When I worked in retail years ago, I considered it my responsibility and a point of pride to know more than my customers about my products. I don't find this very often at the big box store guys. If I go to a big box store it is usually because I don't require any assistance or knowledge about my purchase, and because their price is much better. If I need help, I'll go to the little guy. Fortunately, I rarely find that Bass Pro's prices are much better than the little guys.

I'm still working on my load for my son's 7-08. I am in the neighborhood of 43 grains of IMR 4350 with 140 grain Bergers. I was about to give up on this combo because I couldn't get a group I liked at 100 yards. I was right around or slight over MOA, but expect better. I played around with it a bit and learned that Bergers really don't settle in till they get closer to 200 yards. Odd as it may sound, my groups are tighter at 200 yards than 100 yards with this combo. For me, MOA at 100 yards will get the job done all day when it only gets tighter as you push the shot out further. The info below from Berger should give you a good starting place.

I have noticed a pretty substantial difference between when I used COAL and now using the Hornady comparator. I also load with Bergers which I have found can be a bit tempermental when talking distance off the lands. Go with the comparator, you will improve you accuracy.

As long as your ATV is legal for the roads you are on, and you stay on the roads you are fine. Stage 2 restrictions specify that you can't take your atv more than 10 ft from the road and that is only to park it.

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with the part of your statement that suggests that funding is a primary reason for putting in a late app, especially with the credit card system. Doesn't using a credit card generally give you a month, if not longer, depending on your statement cycle to pay? Seems like a few days within the cycle wouldn't make much difference. Additionally, we are talking about $13 an app that you know months, heck years, in advance is coming. If you can't figure out how to scrape $13 dollars together with that much advance notice, hunting is probably not the sport for you. I also don't like the argument about getting extra time because the computer system was down. Up until a few years ago paper apps were all we had. Did the paper app system go down, nope! You still had until 7:00 PM to get it done using the functioning paper app system that has worked great for many years. Lastly, everything will not be all right in a couple of weeks. A - We will have a crappy system that goes down every draw. B - There will be even more whining and complaining about the credit card/online system that goes down AGAIN when all the jackwagons wait till the last minute to update their credit card information and get yet another deadline extension. C - We will have weeks of problems once they actually start charging cards. I hear what you're saying bonecollector, but the difference is people who ran into problems a week ago had a whole week to get it fixed and done. I have zero confidence that G&F will improve this system any time in the near future. Just hope more people plan ahead in the future.

Extension won't help. Say they give a 2 day extension. Same people will wait till the same time two days from now to do their app, and then come in here crying again about how unfair it is because their app won't go through. It's pretty simple people QUIT PROCRASTINATING AND YOU WON'T BE IN THESE SITUATIONS!

Its AZGFD! Why fix it when they can say they need to increase tag and app prices to fix it, and then not fix it. If they fixed stuff what would they use as an excuse to quadruple fees?
