Sendero Stock Trigger vs Timney vs Shilen
rossislider replied to rossislider's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I haven't done anything yet but am leaning towards a Timney trigger. I shot my buddy's rifle, who has a Timney, and really liked it. -
Wow, what a great year! Congratulations!

Fantastic! Congratulations!

Sweet! One down one to go. Come on Greenback, we both know you really don't want it.

I got thirds! Not that I expect it to be around. Thanks

22LR Ammo Currently at Sportsmans
rossislider replied to rossislider's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
How many do you need? I don't have a lot, but for the kids I'd be happy to sell you 100 for what I paid for them (about $2.50 per 50 rounds). -
I love my QAD Ultra-Rest HD. Best on the market IMO. http://www.qadinc.com/2011-HD.html

Kind of a random question, but what would it cost to have a squirrel done?

Wow, nice picks! Good luck. My unit 1 bull made it through as well. Sadly, I need him to make it through till at least next year. -
Unit 9 Arizona Elk Hunt Success Photos

Wow, just read through most of the replies on this topic (they were quite long) and I have to say I was pretty surprised with some of the comments directed towards Jay and Darr. I had the opportunity to meet them both earlier this year at a FREE turkey seminar they put on at Basspro. Everything I have ever seen, heard, experienced, and read about their operation suggests top tier guides that have done a lot to help educate fellow hunters and improve upon the sport they love. Keep up the awesome work guys! I hope to have the pleasure and honor of hunting with you some day! -
I've read that some properly stored WW2 era stuff is still around and being used. If properly stored ammo should be good for a very long time.

Awesome buck! You may be hunting for a while before topping that one!

No problem! I met with and talked to several guys from CWT yesterday. All really nice friendly guys, and everyone, but me, had tags for this fall. Good luck!

Any Preppers out there?
rossislider replied to Coach's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I have the perfect plan. My mother-in-law is a huge food storage horder/prepper. If "it" hits I'm headed for her place. Knocking her off would be like a 2 for 1 bonus!!! -

I don't think I could say it any better than you did coach! -
For me I kind of rate them as follows. No rhyme or reason, just my opinion: -280 to 330 is a nice bull -330 to 350 is a big bull -350 to 380 is a huge bull -380+ is a monster Of course this is simplified and there are many other factors I would consider. Given the opportunity someday, I doubt I could ever restrain myself from letting the strings fly on anything beyond 350. My first and only bull is in the 290-300 range and I couldn't be prouder of him!

Applying for the upcoming javelina draw- any downside being under the old license regime?
rossislider replied to AndrewJ's topic in Javelina
I just bought my lifetime license, in part to avoid this type of stuff. -
LOL, I think this statement says volumes. (I assume it is a joke?)

This is what I have heard.
