  1. Nice work JB. I wish I could say it couldn't have come together for a better guy, buy we both know that isn't true. I was just glad to have you away from the office for a few days! All joking aside, congratulations! Sounds like you guys had a great time. I wish you could have connected on that lion. It would have been all the sweeter!

    Who taught you to hunt?

Apparently nobody, CAUSE I SUCK AT IT!

    What is this???

This is one of those dang mythical snipes my boy scout leaders always use to make us hunt, but that we could never find!

    11 Year Old Huntress

Nice job Jordin and Cody! I've had the "pleasure" of hiking through some of the unit 27 terrain with Cody. That Jordin is out there pushing through that stuff at 11 is awesome! Cody definitely knows how to get it done (but you might be sore for a long time afterwards). Congrats Jordin!

Elk poached in 24A....can you help?

I'd be in favor of bringing back lynch mobs for people like this.

    hitting cards

I can pretty much guarantee that I won't draw, not that I put in for any special unit. With the way my draw luck has gone the past few year, I'm certain that I have been black listed by game and fish.

    How much weight needed

If the recoil is minimal already I wouldn't worry much about the weight. For my lower recoil rifles I only use the two or three sandbags the range provides with each bench.

    How much weight needed

I use a lead sled and I believe the amount of weight you use really only impacts the amount of felt recoil you want to reduce and really doesn't have anything to do with accuracy. I've shot my 300 RUM with no weight and also with 25 lbs. No difference in shot placement, the only difference is how much recoil I felt. So, for a smaller caliber you might not need nearly as much weight as you would for a larger caliber.

    Fletching choices

I'm partial to Blazers flethed with an Arizona E-Z Fletch. I've never had a problem with noise and it is cheap and easy to replace vanes when one tears.

    *Updated* WTS H1000 & H335

(Updated 10/16/13) - I was just notified that the rest of my backorder is now in, shipping today, and should arrive in about a week. Beyond what I am keeping for myself I have several pounds each of H1000 ($35 each) and H335 ($30 each). Shoot me a PM if interested. Thanks, and read the previous post below for additional details. WTS H1000, Retumbo, & IMR 4350 I placed a backorder for some powders several months ago and was just notified that it finally arrived and has shipped. I was told I should expect it in 10 business days at the latest, and will let you know as soon as I have it in hand so we can meet. I only need a few pounds but since hazmat and shipping fees were ridiculous, I ordered extra to help spread out and mitigate these fees. If members here on this forum here have not spoken for all of the powder by the time it arrives I’ll list it on backpage, but will probably ask a bit more money for the aggravation of having to deal with all the idiots that tend to hang out on backpage. You also must be willing to pick the powder up in either the Queen Creek or Tempe area. I might also be willing to meet by Sportsman's in Mesa. Asking $35 per 1-pound canister (same price as Bruno’s but without the sales tax, so please don’t beat me up on the price. I’m only trying to offset the shipping and hazmat fees, not retire). I have several 1 pound canisters of each of the following: H1000 (All canisters are currently spoken for) Retumbo IMR 4350 The only trades that I am interested in are: H335 powder Federal Match Small Rifle Primers (1 canister for 1000 primers) Please PM me if interested. I’ll update this post when the various powders are all spoken for. Thanks

    Spring Draw Happening Soon

I'm guessing a lot of the slowness with other draws has to do with the large volume of paper app. Since most probably bought there 2014 licenses online, I would guess they applied online as well which would minimize the data entry.

    Springfield XD-S Safety Recall

I'm pretty regular here on the site but don't remember ever seeing this mentioned. I apologize if it has been. I picked up a Springfield XDS this past spring and just became aware of a recall on it for a potential safety issue. Springfield's website suggests: Springfield has determined that under exceptionally rare circumstances, some 3.3 XD-S™ 9mm and .45ACP caliber pistols could experience an unintended discharge during the loading process when the slide is released, or could experience a double-fire when the trigger is pulled once. The chance of these conditions existing is exceptionally rare, but if they happen, serious injury or death could occur. For more information on the recall go to: http://www.springfieldrecall.com/ My favorite part is where they state: What should you do? STOP USING YOUR 3.3 XD-S™ 9mm or .45ACP PISTOL AND CAREFULLY UNLOAD IT! Good call on that one!

So then what are they doing with the guns that are getting sent in?

    The first of many! Congratulations!
  22. I was recently talking to my gunsmith about putting a Timney trigger on my Remington Sendero 300 RUM. He recommended I stick with the adjustable stock trigger for a while because I might like it and could save myself some money. He also suggested that if I do decide to switch out the trigger that I should also consider a Shilen. He said he has had more requests for Shilen triggers recently and really likes them. Anyone have much experience with the Sendero's adjustable trigger vs Timney vs Shilen? Thanks
