Your biggest problem might be finding those components right now. -
Likewise with 2.

Different brass question
10Turkeys replied to HuntHarder's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I imagine you could get a bad batch of Lapua brass, but it hasn't happened to me yet. My experience with Norma brass is limited to .270 brass, but I've found it to be just as good as Lapua, and just as pricey. I believe I read somewhere that Norma is no longer selling brass in the states, don't know if it's so or not. -
Younger guys might have worn thin with this one, if that's the case and your looking for a more mature one post a recent pic and send a PM! As a side, you might want to check before you report those guns as stolen. Might be viewed as community property and you will be the one wearing cuffs.

Maybe this one or a 6.5 Creedmoor

Died 133 years ago today of cancer at 54. Buried in Washington D. C. Later dug up and reburied yards from the place that made him known.

If I was flush with cash I would call Jim Borden and have him build the lightest, flatest shooting rifle that he could, then have him top it with something light that I could see the ring around Saturn with. In reality since I havent/won't hit the lottery, I'll probably still use my .270.

Winner. I thought that this one would go on for a minute. There was a hearing in Chicago dealing with his part of the Battle of the Little Bighorn, which he was exonerated. Later he was booted for being a peeping Tom, or saying off color remarks to another officers wife, depending on which story you read. He was first buried in a paupers grave, when his title and rank was later restored to him, he was later buried at the National cemetery just off the battlefield.

Not Berger, and not 190gr, but here is a 185gr Nosler load. It will give you a place to start.

Ruger American 30-06, 22 inch barrel, Burris Fullfield E1 4.5x14x42 scope, less than 250 rounds fired. Some bore cleaner dripped out of the barrel and ate the bluing off in one spot under the barrel. 450.00 located in Chandler.

Remington 700 BDL 7mm Mag, 24 inch barrel, no scope, Weaver rings, unknown round count, bought used. Didn't really shoot it much, best I got out of it was about an inch at 100. Crown shows wear. 700.00. Located in Chandler.

More than 30 years ago one of my Buds had a wife that worked the night shift at Chandler Regional Hospital as an RN. When her crew came on they were told that there was a case in the ER that was going to take alot of professionalism to get through. Some guy had pounded a grapefruit up his rectum. Kudos for the ASPCA for not having to get involved with this one!

While camping last week I went into my tent to grab something, heard a noise and there they were.

Should I upgrade from 30-06?
10Turkeys replied to andyyy's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
To all of those that still think that Hornady built the 6.5 Creedmoor from the ground up need to take a look at the Savage .250 case. Same length, same shoulder radius. The two guys that designed the Creedmoor have been around long enough to know that the .250 case had been necked up and played with for a long time. 20 years before the Creedmoor came out a gunsmith in California was necking up a .250 case and calling it a 7mm Wally. Years ago on the Sierra Bullets blog, a shooter by the name of Mitch Maxberry was asking the Creedmoor faithful to name one record that the Creedmoor has broken that the 6.5-08 (later named the .260 Remington) had already set, no one could then, and I doubt that anyone can now. -
Any tips or tricks to remove a ton of carbon?
10Turkeys replied to Crazymonkey's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Boretech makes a carbon remover that works pretty good. Some of the internet guys are using CLR, but with stainless. I wouldn't use it for a blued barrel. -
I think it would be fair to contact the Taliban and request an AK. With all the equipment that Joe and the Hoe left them in Afghanistan, I think it would be right for them to give you one little rifle. Let's go Brandon!
