Not that Billy The Kid.

If this year's leftover list is like last years, you might start drinking when it comes out anyway. It might be camping with guns this year.

Happy Veterans Day to all of my fellow Vets! The guy in the Civil War uniform was my Great Grandpa, he was in the 30th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. Google will tell you where he was at. The other is my Grandpa, taken in Paris during WW1, he's in the middle row with the black dot.

To be honest the thing about the twist being backward on the barrel wasn't original. I had heard it before.

Looking for Sierra .270 130 grain (1820), and .308 150 grain (2125) bullets. I will buy at a reasonable price or trade. I have Hornady .270 145 ELD-X, Nosler .270 150 grain BT, Lapua .308 155 Scenars, RL-19, IMR-4831, and some CCI 200 primers to trade.

I'll pass on the MK's. Thanks!

Judging by your pic, it is definitely the rifle. The twist should be on the inside of the barrel not outside. When both of your rifles shot high, was they both off on just elevation or windage also? If just elevation I would guess your range finder. The old saying GIGO. Garbage in, garbage out.

Game and Fish doesn't seem to be in a real big hurry to post the leftover tags. They are due on the 29th of this Month.

Get a .270, 30-06, or a 7 mag and you can drop anything in this state and most others.

I don't know how it works now, but you used to be able to shoot one or two High Power Rifle matches, and buy one through the CMP or DCM, whatever they are calling themselves these days. If your interested in going this route, contact the high power rifle match director through Rio Salados web-site. He would be better source of info.

Brunos has them in stock. Both large rifle primer and small rifle primer pocket brass.

Any illegal action down south this year on deer hunts
10Turkeys replied to Adicted's topic in The Campfire
Yes it has. My bud and I were glassing a couple days before the season opened, he said that he was going to get alittle higher to see if he could get a signal for his cell phone. When he came back he said that he thought he set off some kind of a sensor that was hanging in a tree. Next thing a BP vehicle rolls up and 2 agents hop out, and Rob ask if he set off one of their sensors, and one of them said No it was illegals, and I ask if they were Mexican (after finding that Guatemalan ID card), and he said These days you never know. Then they left in the opposite direction Rob was in. -
Chamber polishing method to remove a bur?

I've seen a green scotch guard pad used to polish a chamber, but I don't know if it would remove that. Is that from a factory barrel? -

Just got back from 36B. There is plenty going on down there. I wish I was getting a percentage of those black bleach shaped water bottles, they are everywhere, usually two together tied with a piece of blanket. The current administration is probably handing them out just on the other side. Let's Go Brandon! -
Deadline for the spring draw is Oct 12th. Just put in for Javelina.

Why yes, yes I can, and Smallbore rams at 100m also, well I used to. 10 in a row matter of fact, to wit the 3 grand slams in my avatar. This is a hunting site, where most are very good hunters, and very knowledgeable riflemen, and it is hard to understand how someone would want someone else to get their rifle on paper. They have never experienced the guy who can't get his rifle on paper, but wants his gun sighted in at 600 yards for that long shot. FYI, if you want to hold the keys to the kingdom, usually it's with the Turkeys at 385m, not rams at 500. Thanks for posting the service for those that would use it.

Take it here, and make them earn the 10 bucks! -
scope mountng question
10Turkeys replied to AzDiamondHeat's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
You could shim the rear ring, by putting something like a piece of soda can or actual shim under the base of the rear ring. Shiming is probably the least desirable way to go, as it will put stress on your scope. -
Remington 700 7mm Mag, 24 inch barrel, unknown round count. Minor scratches and the bluing is rubbed off the muzzle end. Comes with Weaver bases. Trigger breaks at 3#. I picked this up used and I haven't really shot it that much. The target pic is what I had loaded with a Sierra 150 GK. 700.00. I'm in Chandler.
