Not a biologist, but I was talking to Jack Cartwright one time, his family had a ranch in the 7 springs area for along time, anyway he told me that lions perfered horse, cattle, then deer. He said that a colt was alittle easier for a lion to get a hold of so generally they went first. Another buddy that had a ranch in the Baghdad area, said they couldn't keep a colt around. I was talking to a lion hunter in the Globe area and I ask him how often a lion would kill a Deer. He said alot of it depended on how many bears was in the area, he said that a lion would kill a Deer then bury the carcass, then a bear will come along dig it up eat it, then the Lion would have to kill again. Don't know but this is what I've heard.

Don't blame me. I voted for Trump!

If you want your gun to blow up. 7.62=.308 6.5= .264.

My buddy makes sausage out of Javelina. If you mix enough pork and spices with it, you won't have to choke it down.

Just about every reloading manual has data for a .270 and IMR-4831 listed. Berger 130, 140, and 150 gr bullets. Nosler 140 and 160. Hornady 110, 130, 140-145, and 150. Barnes 140 and 150 grain. Sierra #5 (not the newest) has 90, 110, 130, 140, and 150. Pick which bullet you want to shoot and go with their manual. My two cents says that the Hornady goes into headspace better than the rest, but that's just one part of it. No matter which reloading guide you go with, you will learn something.

Numerich says the model 18 will work, but they don't have any either.

That IMR-4831 will work fine in your .270. H-4831 is supposed to be the powder for a .270, but I used the IMR version for quite awhile with a 130gr bullet. I pretty much stay with RL-22 now.

I've got 31 and 32. PM your snail mail address and I'll send them to you.

After this one is bagged and tagged, I hope they can nail his parents for something, and then tar and feather the lawyer.

I just read where Walt passed this past Sunday. I bought a few bullets from him when he had a store on Camelback, other than that I didn't know him. RIP, condolences to the family.

I'm thinking if he was in charge of all the school systems, we wouldn't need him in D.C.

The Henry rifle was used in the Civil War, so about 1861 or so.

FWIW I would get more than one measurement per bullet. I usually get 3-5, using a different bullet from the same box each time, and then use the average, or if one is way off I won't use it in the average. One other thing is that if your having to knock that bullet out of your chamber after you put it into the lands, it might be in there 5-10 thousands, so you take that into consideration with your measurements. Here is what Barnes recommends for a starting seating depth. I have two boxes of the 140 TTSX that I'm not going to use. Send me a PM if you want them for what I paid for them.

Don't know why he was camera shy. I wonder if he made more money from his pics, or from his boarding house? And if he had any other money making interest?
-
The wording under the pic says that it is alledged to be CS. All I know that if I had a Gazillion dollars, I don't think that I would buy up those two pics of CS Fly, if they were for sale!

I guess your pic is as good as any. Here is what True West said in Classic Gunfights Volume 2.

Reloading for longrange neck size or full size?
10Turkeys replied to Crazymonkey's topic in Long Range Shooting
There are two classes in High Power Rifle Silhouette, Standard and Hunter. The trigger pull in Hunter class is two pounds. Not considered extremely light by most.
