Some say the quality has gone from Leupold, but that is what I use. Normally with a Leupold if the paralax adjustment is on the objective bell, the numbers don't always match up, and you want to make sure it tracks right. Leupold has a life time warranty also.

1st post welcome to the site. Most aren't going to give up their honey holes to a first time poster. Basic info, just about everyone hunts off the Ruby Rd or 39. If you go into the unit from the Pena Blanca lake side, from Thumb Butte to Arrivaca Lake is a good place to glass.

If you decide to split it up, I'll take the brass.

I've done it before, sometimes it works, sometimes it don't. There is alot of other variables also, how many times has the brass been used, and headspacing. If that brass has seen some use and has been resized for a gun with a tighter chamber then fired in a gun with some slop in the chamber, could see some case seperation. Only one way to find out, either fire one round, see what happens, or pull the bullets and start over.

My bud and I put in for that 36B hunt. I think there were 775 permits available, we had tag numbers 660 and 661. Those tags used to be thrown away after the second draw, then over the counter.

From your pic it looks like you have Frankfort Arsenal and Lake City brass. It's government issued brass. A Google search will give you the story on either. If those rounds were in a sealed box, they are loaded Arsenal ammo, if they were loose, no telling how many times they have been loaded. In a bolt gun if reloaded correctly that brass will last forever.

Don't remember the particulars about it, but Sammy only had one good eye, the other one was glass. Him and Dean Martin was going somewhere, and Sammy got pulled over for speeding. Deano told the cop "heck he's only got one eye, do you want him to watch the road or his speed".
