This is a good press and it looks to be in great shape. I have one that I have been using since 1986. There is a date stamp by where the dies go into the press and that's what mine is stamped.

Dont know if it's so or not, but I read that in the 90's Eley took certain lots of Tenex and boxed them up as these. Depending on how these held up for thirty years, you could be spraying Olympic type ammo in your 10-22.

A Texas judge has thrown out the NRA's bankruptcy case
10Turkeys replied to maximus's topic in The Campfire
Wayne defiantly has to go. If as much corruption has been uncovered as James says, my question is why hasn't Wayne and his minions on the board been charged with something? That would be the Dems dream to dismantle the NRA. There are other gun rights groups out there to support. GOA being one of them. Don't know if it is true or not, but I just read that the NRA spent 72 million on this bankruptcy deal, don't know the actual numbers but if this is true why didn't they pay off their debt, oust Wayne and start again. I think the way they have their bylaws written up now, it's impossible to get rid of Wayne. -
Lightweight (ultra light) Rifle Suggestions
10Turkeys replied to Curtis Reed's topic in The Campfire
If I was sitting on a pile of cash, I would look into a NULA or a Borden, but since I'm not, one of the lightest ones that I've owned was a Browning A bolt. -
Nice Rem classic! Wouldn't last on GB.

Projectiles 6.5 143gr ELDX and Barnes Match Burners 6.5 140gr
10Turkeys replied to SpotNStalk's topic in Classified Ads
As far as those MB on game, I couldn't give you an answer, but as far as punching paper they were as accurate as a 139 Lapua or a 142 SMK in my 6.5 x47 anyway. -
I know 3 that shot their Buffalo there. This is one of them, right off their website.

That's what Uncle Jack used to say. My bud and a couple of his friends thought that the 25-06 was the best thing since sliced bread. I've had 3 of them and a .257 Roberts, never cared for a 25 caliber.
-
My bud got his with a 25-06.

Any mention of logistics? Who's going to be responsible for the hunters food, packers food. Where are they going to stay, ECT, ECT.

They used to be shot here and no one would give it a thought. In the 70's there was a congressman named Steiger I believe, that his opponent brought up that he shot wild burros, after that if you did shoot them, it was kept pretty quiet. Sam was quite the politician. He got a ticket for jaywalking to the 480 club, a bar in Chandler, so he painted his own crosswalk to the bar

Who knew this person could be the voice of reason?

Who would have thought that an Olympic gold medalist would turn into a Shim, but then again if I was mixed up with the Kardashians I might be wearing a dress too! -
My guess is that the tree hugging lawyers will have this tied up in litigation for years. If I had any interest in this I would ask questions up to and including where the shooting was going to take place to select the 12 shooters and what position would you be shooting from and what would be the minimum caliber.
-
I imagine the firearm safety certification is hunters ed. The way I'm reading it, they are going to have you shoot 5 shots from some position, somewhere, and you will have to hit 3/5 shots in a 4 inch circle at 100 yards.

I have several of those, a couple of them are rusty. I think moisture gets in and that sponge absorbs the moisture and since they are laying on the mics, the mics rust. I throw away the sponge now and put silica gel packets in with the Mic.

Maybe I missed another ad here, but if this warning was posted for the guy in Tucson that is selling that CMP Garand ammo. Helen Keller, Stevie Wonder, and Ray Charles can plainly see the CMP stamp on the box. I don't think the CMP would issue ammo for a Garand that wouldn't work without putting a recall notice on it.

Calling all Tikka Gurus!
10Turkeys replied to Buckwheat893's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
You can also call EuroOptic and confirm the twist rate. One company had a Tikka listed on Gunbroker, it was a 6.5x55 with a 1-11 twist. It was actually a 1-8. -

Tikkas standard twist in a 300WM is 1-11. What are you looking to do that would make a difference between a 1-10 and a 1-11 inch twist? -
There are alot of Small bore rifle games played around from Bench rest, silhouette, ECT. Pick one out and try that rifle out.
