Somebody knew someone somewhere.

Well here is last year's.
-
Second draw, third draw and then over the counter. I bet a lot of tags went into the shredder.
-
I wonder what the percentage is of the tags that that don't make it to the field, due to anti's buying them, work, thinking the unit you drew sucks and don't want to waste time and gas?
-
Used to be you could walk down the street and pick up one of the 36's off the ground. Now not even one left on the second draw.
-
According to Sierra it's 70.6.
-
That was excellent!

If it were you??? Caliber question
10Turkeys replied to sjvcon's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
One of my Buds has a 7mm wsm and he likes it. I don't know why it didn't take off, other than it really didn't beat what was already out there. Nothing wrong with the .270 wsm. I've had 2, sold 1, gave the other to a grandson. -

If you decide to use the action that the .270 WSM was off from you have a .535 bolt face, which will work for most of the cases already listed. With the .280AI which has a .473 bolt face, you would have to use another bolt. As someone once told me about bolt faces, you can open them up, but you can't shrink them. -
Go into view details and the tag# is there.

Steve 123, sorry to point this out, but this being a hunting forum not a shooting forum. How do you think a once or twice a year shooter is going to be able to handle a reticle like this on his Deer rifle, on a 80lb Coues at say 600 yards.

Ruger 77 Mark ll, 7mm Rem Mag, 24 inch barrel, bedded, floated, trigger worked. Minor wear. Unknown round count, picked up used. Leupold VX-1 3-9x4mm scope. 600.00. Browning A bolt, 6.5 Creedmoor, 22 inch barrel, bone stock rifle that shoots, a few dings and scratches on the stock. Unknown round count, picked up used. Burris Fullfield ll 2-7 BDC scope. This was a Buds gun that I bought from him and he attached a flashlight holder to the barrel, I took it off so there are 2 holes that are in the barrel. 450.00 Meopta MeoPro 4.5-14x44 scope, z-plex reticle. Used very little, looks brand new. 350.00. SOLD. No lowballers. Don't waste my time or yours! I'm in Cave Creek, can meet at the Sportsmans on I-17.

TTT. Price drop on the Ruger, won't go any lower on the Browning.
-
Very sad. Prayers sent.

Finally got to the range today to take some pics of a couple groups. The one in the x ring is the Creedmoor the one at 10 o'clock is the 7 mag. Also is a pic of the 2 holes in the Creedmoor barrel.

The Indians call this the battle of Greasy Grass. If you get on YouTube and Google Ernie Lapointe, who is Sitting Bulls grandson, he tells the Indian side of it. According to him the fight was over pretty quick, one Indian was trying to mount his pony to get in the fight, the horse spun around three times and the battle was over.
-
Yep they were pretty small.
-
As with anything, a Lot of what ifs with this. What if Custer listed to his scouts about how many Indians were there. What if the Indians paid attention to Sitting Bulls vision and not mutlitaded the soldiers bodies. One interesting guy that was there was Cpt. Miles Keough.

Flew into Cody, Wyo last year. Did the Buffalo Bill museum and Yellowstone on Sat, then drove up to the battlefield on Sunday, worth every minute. Caught the Rodeo on both nights in Cody, also.
