Yes. It's a Hawes. Made in Germany. My Dad bought this in the early 70's at K-Mart.

I guess we are playing with revolvers today. It's 2020 so it's upside down!
-
I've seen Hoodrats on TV turn their gun sideways, but I can't recall anyone shooting a gun upside down like that!

Guys if your hitting that 50 mark and haven't had a colonoscopy, don't put it off get it done. I didn't and long story short I'm cancer free, but I was gutted like a fish, not a pleasant experience, when a earlier test would have fixed everything.

If you have a caliper measure the overall case length, case base to shoulder, and inside the case mouth.

Looks like Brunos has them.

I've talked to 4-5 people that have met Ben or knew him, all say what a great guy he was.

I've had 3 Tikkas, a 7mm Mag that I sold to a member here, a .308 Win that I sold to a member here, and a 30-06 that sold on Gunbroker. All three shot great. The only thing that I personally don't care for are their safety.

Dumb Question - .270 Browning Medallion
10Turkeys replied to newazhunter's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
The caliber will be stamped on the barrel, either .270 Win, or .270 WSM. They aren't interchangeable. -
Midway USA had these in stock.

news release - chad smith - helicoter chasing antelope update
10Turkeys replied to elkaholic's topic in The Campfire
I know this is an old post, but I was just looking through my FIL's copy of this month's Western Horseman magazine. The feature article is on the ORO ranch, it mentions that Chad Smith runs the ranch and that he was a hunting guide. Apparently they didn't do a Google search of Chad, or did and didn't care. -
Dove Scouting. Seen any?

The best spot I've seen in years is on the 202 San Tan between AZ Ave and McQueen. Dairy on the right side going east. A decent wing shot should have their limit before any cops show up. -
My bud picked up some at Cabelas awhile back. Herters 150gr I believe, or do a Google search. Plenty of places have them.
-
I've had 3 of the newer model 70's and they all shot. A Tikka Hunter model with wood stock will shoot right out of the box also. I wish Tikka would chamber the 6.5 PRC in one of the lightweight hunting rifles!

If your looking for sharpening stuff, I've bought some things from these guys sharpeningsupplies.com.

I would look at something with S30V steel.

Southwest Saw used to be on Thomas in Phoenix, and they sold industrial meat processing equipment, but it looks like they went belly up.

In the mid and late 80's we shot up a lot of Vietnam era ordnance in Florence, a few of the HE rounds were duds and a lot of the Illum rounds were duds. If I ran across anything down there or anywhere I wouldn't mess with it.
-
Well here's what she says From the pics it looks like a HE round with a training fuse on it. She says that even if it's a training round that sometimes they are charged. Above the band there should be a number on it probably M-107 or M-110. Her qualifications are for real and she said that it shouldn't be hanging around and to call someone to dispose of it.
-
Usually dummy rounds are marked inert on them. Might be a litre or training round. Let me send the pics to a EOD tech that I know.
-
Looks fake to me. Rifling marks on the band. Ordnance isn't something to guess at though. Did you find this in Florence?
