Got it on Friday before the rain hit. He has one gun a Remington 700 ADL 7mm Mag, he was using a Berger 150gr Classic Hunter bullet. I got there on Saturday, it was pouring rain. Hunted a little while on Sunday, nada.

For whatever it's worth, some long forgotten gun writer claimed that with a .308, velocitys didn't change given different barrel lengths. At that time I had a Remington 700V with a 24 inch barrel and a Remington 788 with I think it was a 20 inch barrel. With the same load they did chronograph the same velocity.

My guess would be closer to 50 fps per inch. How much weight do you want to lose? There are other options. Fluting the barrel, hogging out the stock, lighter bases and rings, aluminum bolt shroud

Well when you trade 5 hardcore terreroist for one traitor, what's wrong with letting this guy in?

Just did the same thing. Cost is 20.00.

Not my gun but the barrel on the first pic states Yonkers, NY USA. These are no longer made. Kimber came out with these rifles to try and grab some sales from Anschutz. When the first guns came on the market they had a premium barrel on them. Shilen from what I understand, later they made their own barrels and put on them. Lones Wigger told me that he helped design that stock for Kimber.

My bud told me he roped a Javelina one time, he said it ran under his horse and started snapping his teeth. He said the rodeo was on. I never ask him if he did it again.

Does the weather stripping actually work or does everything get covered with dust?

I have a Nikon Monarch 5, I think it's a 3-15 with a Nikoplex reticle, the glass is as good as my 2 Leupold VX-3i 4.5x14 scopes and it tracks also.

Looks like and old leather punch, a slide caliper, a hatchet, and two pistols. The bottom one kinda looks like a Colt auto, but couldn't make out a horse on the grips.

WMR8 Winchester magnum rifle powder Lance?
10Turkeys replied to Delw's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Never used it and I don't know anyone that has. By the timeline it was discontinued I would say it was before Winchester Powders was swallowed up by Hodgdon. I read something that said Winchester discontinued it because they were using all the powder in the WSM cartridges, but I don't know. -

The Nosler number 4 had data for the .300 Win Mag. -
WMR8 Winchester magnum rifle powder Lance?

If powder is stored properly it will last a long time. When you take the cap off and if it still has an either smell and the powder doesn't have a brown rust type dust to it, it will still be usable. I have some that I bought before 1978 and I dip into it occasionally. -
WMR8 Winchester magnum rifle powder Lance?
10Turkeys replied to Delw's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
From what I gather Winchester discontinued it, for some reason they had trouble with their slow burning ball powders. Supposed to burn between RL-19 and RL-22, and there is supposed to be some load data for it in Nosler number 4 manual, which I have at the house and I'm at work right now. What caliber were you looking for data for? -

Natchez Shooters Supply had some Weaver T-24 scopes that are marked down for less than 400.00, at least they did from their last flyer that I received. It's a straight 24x with a 1/8 inch dot. Every Weaver that I have owned has tracked. Weaver has been discontinued, so if the scope goes south I don't know who would fix it for you.

Saw a couple of positive reviews after a Google search, but it could have been the owner of the company posting the reviews as far as I know. One of the guys said that he called and talked to the owner and ask him what barrels they were using and the owner wouldn't tell him.

I was in the Army at that time. When those towel heads took over the embassy it was business as usual, but when that rescue mission was aborted, that's when it hit the fan. Why we didn't go in there I'll never know.

Maybe the Canuks can call Jimmy Carter and ask what he would do.
-
You left out the part about the Nucular Program being cut off also!
-
If Jimmy Carter had a pair this would have been taken care of in 1979.
