I was in the Army at that time. When those towel heads took over the embassy it was business as usual, but when that rescue mission was aborted, that's when it hit the fan. Why we didn't go in there I'll never know.

Maybe the Canuks can call Jimmy Carter and ask what he would do.
-
You left out the part about the Nucular Program being cut off also!
-
If Jimmy Carter had a pair this would have been taken care of in 1979.

The last I heard Bob was still alive.

I never met Bob Jensen, but I hear that he was a good shot in his day. At the old office at the Tucson Rifle Club there was an old certificate from the NRA that Bob Jensen, Milt Hood, and Roy Dunlap set a National record of some kind. I ask Milt about it once and he said the record sure didn't last long for whatever it was for.

I bet it's been 25 years or more so I don't remember where I was at or who I was with, but somebody was asking about Lucky Wade and someone else said that he was working for Ruger up in Prescott.

Try Stockys.

There was a place on Washington St. I think it was Bohms, and The Phoenix Shooters Supply on 16th. Was Wades owned by Lucky Wade who stretched the chambers on a 94 to get more velocity til one blew up and Wade wasn't so Lucky anymore and skipped town?

I don't know what part of NC you are in, but I was at Bragg for 3 years and one thing the terrain in very different in Coues country than pines and sand. I have hunted the border units for many years and have never had any trouble, but did run across some drug runners once.

In AZ once you hit 70 and if you have been a resident for 25 years you qualify for a Pioneer license that covers a hunting and fishing license at no cost. Bob your 63 now and your license is good for another year making you 64. A lifetime hunting license is 296.00. If the cost stays the same at 37.00 a year for 6 years you would pay 222.00, until you could qualify for a Pioneer license. I don't know about you, but I rather have a couple of bucks than give it to the state.

Yes it is the Blevins house in Holbrook. Commodore Perry Owens shot his rifle 4 times, three dead and one wounded. Someone from inside the house killed a horse that was tied up outside.

No. One man singlehandedly turned this place into a bloodbath.

I've had a T3 in 7mm Rem Mag, a T3 Hunter in .308 Winchester, and currently own a T3X Hunter in 30-06 , none of them have had a long throat in them.

It's been a few years since I shot a .260, but with mine I found that basically any powder that would work in a .308 Winchester will work in a .260, 4895, 4064, Varget. At one time I was shooting a 6.5x55 and a .260 at the same time and I was using a mild load of VV-N-150 for both.

In Carmichaels Book of the Rifle, he puts up the same argument when a African PH does the same thing.

When I was a kid any type of a toy gun. I had a Johnny 7 OMA. I remember a set of six guns that had a Wagon Train theme to them, like the old TV show. I had a GI Joe probably about the first year they came out.

Ran into this mine one time. From our camp you could see the tailings, but not an entrance. One afternoon we were coming back into camp and my buddy and I stop at the entrance, and he lays his rifle down and takes off his pack. I figured if there was gold in there someone else had already got it, and I'm pretty sure I didn't lose anything in there, so I tell my buddy if you get in there and start screaming like a little girl it's going to cost ya. Anyway he said that it didn't go that far back and it was all dug out with a star hammer.

Getting it done with a .270!
