No and No. This guy was a stone killer. He wore a white shirt. When someone saw him they knew what he was up to.
-
No. Whenever this guy showed up, usually a funeral was shortly after.
-
No, not Johnson's cabin. This guy had some history in AZ, but this place isn't in AZ.

One was the youngest, died on a barroom floor in Wilcox, I believe. Don't know about the other.

We used to get our steel from Heflin steel in Phx, but when they found out they were being used for targets, they wouldn't sell anymore to us. 3/8ths and 1/2 AR 500 will with stand any 30-06 caliber class. From what I understand on a sheet of AR 500 steel it might be 500 where it is tested, but maybe not as strong eight to ten inches away. I know the chicken on the 200 meter line at the high power range at Rio Salado is 1 inch AR 500 and there isn't even a pock mark on it, at least not the last time I checked. Usually it's the small speedy stuff, like .223's and .243's that chew steel up.

If you have a CCW with the state of AZ, these states honor it. If your just putting it it your truck I wouldn't know.

Deputy sheriff Billy Breakenridge reported seeing Johnny Ringo drunk before he was dead, and tried to talk him into riding along with him, which Ringo refused. Breakenridge later ran into Leslie on the same trail. When Leslie plugged Billy Claiborne outside the Oriental, Claiborne refused medical treatment so he could make a statement how Leslie killed his friend Ringo. In my original post I had Luke Short killing Claiborne, but it was indeed Leslie. Luke Short shot Charlie Storms at the Oriental. My appolagies.

Superman was faster than a speeding bullet, stronger than a locomotive, could get Lois Lane, he just couldn't sit a horse. -
I have owned about 4 of each, both have excellent out of the box accuracy. At least they did have. The only thing that I would worry about in a Savage, is how many employees that ATK laid off after they acuired Savage. I would have to guess that there had to have been some quality let go in there somewhere.

One cartridge that you don't hear to much about anymore that would make a good starter is the .257 Roberts, to light for elk, but would be excellent for Deer and Javelina and antelope. I had one and it was a little light for what I wanted it for, so it was quickly rebarreled to 6.5x55.

He probably was a yuppie fly guy, but he didn't try to take a selfie with the bull.

This one just came into the yard. Had two little velvet spikes. Left of Palo Verde.

The way it was explained to me that the country Mexicans called a Mule Deer a Burras and a Whitetail a Venado.

If you get your rifle shooting off a bench where you want it, and then practice every shot that you might take in the field with a distance that your comfortable with, if nothing else it will up your chances IMHO. If you check out Big Browns story about his Antelope, he stated that he practiced for 4 months and had never shot better in his life, and Mr. Lance Kenyon has stated that he donates 7 bucks at Ben Avery every week. Maybe they were just lucky on their hunts, but I think not.

I've came home at midnight and 2 AM and have seen Javelina on the water, in the daytime it's usually Quail, Rabbits, Coyotes, and ever now and then a Bobcat.
