Hanoi Jane should have been shot!
-
That was before my time, but I remember when it was Williams Field Rd. from I-10 to Willie, and every road south of it was dirt.

Old age sucks, but as far as I know it beats the alternative.
-
I think you left out a couple of things, but you covered the basics!
-
I realize this is an old post, but I've been to Ridgway, PA, three times and I stayed in St. Mary's two of the three times. Real small town that was fun to stay in.

I'm hoping your using facial recognition and not butt cheek recognition.

Well that takes care of the brass issue. What do you want to do with it? It sits about in the middle of the pack of whats already out there.
-
There are 4 or so manufacturers that are turning out a 6.5 PRC. The biggest con as I see it, as of right now you would be stuck with Hornady brass.
-
I've been there 1000 times.

So I can look the part while I'm cleaning up after my Wife's horse! Why do you want to know? There's no Brokeback Mountain scene here!

HH hats, Jimmy the hat man. Wickenburg by the museaum. Not cheap, and it will take some time, custom fitted and made.

Far be it from me, but you might get an argument from a few .270 Winchester fans.

I've read With Blood in Their Eyes and just about everything on the internet about the shootout, but I thought that this book was the best by far.
-
Sorry, I thought you were talking about the shootout, not BA's year of birth. The video wasn't posted yet.
-
Well the whole shoot out was because the Power brothers didn't register for the WWl draft, my history tells me that WWl wasn't in 1909. Believe the shootout was Feb. 10, 1918.
-
There is still strong feelings about this even tho it happened over 100 years ago, especially around the Safford area. I was talking to two brothers that I know about the shootout, and they said that Sheriff McBride was a cousin to them, you can guess which side they were on. Another story that I heard was two old timers were getting into a heated argument about Ben Avery (yes the range guy) one was pro and the other was not so much. Well the one that was against said ol Ben was involved in that posse that went after the Power brothers. Well I knew Ben was from that area on the AZ- NM border, after checking it out, Ben was born in 1910, the shootout was in 1918, he would have been 8 years old! Yet another myth.

Toward the end of the book, it was mentioned what happened to the daughter. One thing that was stated in the book that I have found to be 100% true, is that there is enough myth, tales and fiction to fill another book about what happened. Yes I saw the documentary also.

It's on my bucket list to go to the cabin. This might be an interesting read before you go.

41.3 is the max load for that powder. It's your gun you can load it however you want, but you might want to pull the bolt and look at the lugs on it and realize that those are the only things stopping that bolt from coming back into your face if that gun blows up.
-
Any idea how close your bullet seating depth is to your lands?
-
If you don't mind could you list your load? A side note when you blow a primer like that, make sure the primer falls out somewhere. A buddy of mine had the same thing happen and the primer ended up in the lug access area, and when he closed his bolt to put the gun away, had to have a gunsmith open the bolt.
