To Rail or Not to Rail, that is the question?

I guess the old saying is true, One man's trash is another man's treasure. I have never had any problems with Talley rings. -
I always thought that if you put enough BBQ sauce, onions, and garlic on something it would at least be edible. How wrong I was. My Buddy makes a sausage out of them, and he mixes enough pork and spices with it that it doesn't taste like Javelina.

I'm not happy with any organisation that is going to take my money and stuff into some politicians pocket to get them to vote they way they want them to. I know that's the way it works now, but I want no part of it. The bill was brought up in the house, still has to go through the Republican controlled Senate, then if it passes there it ends up on Trump's desk. The NRA stuffed 30 million into Trump's campaign in 2016, more than the last two elections, so there has to be a payback somewhere. Within the last year the President of the NRA, Pete Brownell has stepped down and Tom Selleck has resigned his spot on the board, something is up. They don't bother asking me for money anymore, but my wife who is a fairly new member, has had her phone blowing up.

No problem, wife is gone, yard work is done, waiting for some brass to be cleaned. If you know a machinist they might be able to make you one also. -

Awesome gun and awesome caliber, and awesome seller too! Bro if I didn't already have like ten of these I'd buy it! Sorry I thought I would save one of my friends trying to sell it for me.

I don't know what your barrel cleaning habits are, but you might want to clean it one more time with some sort of copper remover solvent, like Sweets 7.62 or Montana Extreme Copper Killer before you give up the ghost on that barrel. Keep running patches through til they come out white.

If Remington had put the hype into the .260 when they brought it out, like Hornady did with the Creedmoor, everyone would be shooting it instead of a 6.5 Creedmoor. I have had a .260 Remington, 6.5x55 Sweed, 6.5 Creedmoor, and currently shoot a 6.5x47 Lapua. If the truth was told there isn't a noticible difference in either.

Before I put my two cents in this I'll say that I'm a life member of the NRA, life member of the Arizona, California, and Texas State rifle and pistol Association. When you join the NRA your membership money goes to training, education and range work, for your money to go to any political cause it has to go to the ILA. Here is my stance, that those slippery oily, weasily scumbag politicians waste enough of my money as a taxpayer, I'm not going to give the ILA or anyone else my hard earned money to stuff into some politicians pocket, so they can waste more of it!

If possible take a pic or two of the case you had problems with, especially the case head and the web area.
-
If you have been shooting that ammo with no problems and now there is a problem, is this correct? Another thing to check is to chamber a round, in a safe area for sure and then open your bolt and check and see if there are any rifling marks on the bullet, could be they wasn't seated deep enough at the factory or you have a short throat.
-
Look on your case head, usually when your bolt sticks it will leave a extractor mark also, another sign of pressure. Take a look at your primer and see if it's flattened out or smeared, another sign of pressure.

Stainles Rem 700 LRH in 7 Rem Mag, Premium Ammo?
10Turkeys replied to CatfishKev's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
If you have a bone stock factory rifle that is shooting moa with factory ammo, that is cause for celebration. Say you buy a reloading kit and shrink that group to 3/4 and you only shoot 40-60 rounds a year, you will never recoup the cost of the loading equipment. Then ask yourself would I be able to kill the same stuff with my rifle shooting 1 moa than 3/4? But if you absolutely have to have it shooting in the .1s and .2s then you will have to pay. Custom action, premium barrel, aftermarket trigger and stock, and of course the stock has to be bedded. Then you are going to have to put a scope on it, and the other cost is time. You are not going to have a rifle that shoots like that without some trigger time. -
That's what the world is coming to.

I think the strategy was to ask an arm and a leg for the hats, then they wouldn't have to sell clothing.

Well you have your career politician (Al Gore) who had a law background, write a book on science, win a Nobel Prize. Could something be wrong?
