    Tag Transfer

Delw, when your Daughter processes into what ever branch of the service she is going into, they will ask her what state she wants for her Home of Record. If she says Arizona, it will not matter if she is guarding the flag that marks the north pole, she will still be an AZ resident, as far as the state sees it.

    Tag Transfer

Delw, as long as she claims Arizona as her home of record when she goes in, she will be able to apply for a tag as an AZ resident.

    7mm Mag or 300 WM ?

In the early 80's, when I was looking to buy a gun and start hunting again I was told to get a .270, 30-06, or a 7mm mag, and I could hunt anything in Arizona, probably still true today.
  4. Has anyone tried these bullets yet? I loaded up some 165gr 7mm bullets in my 7mm Mag today, just a first time outing, but so far not to impressed. The gun shoots Sierra GameKings moa. Sierra has a video of them, but it didn't show any groups that they shot at the range.

    Sierra Gamechanger Bullets

Couldn't get the 160gr .284 bullets to group in a 7 mag or a .280 Rem, but the 140gr .277 bullets will shoot!

    Units 36a, b, c hunt #5097

I do have that Javelina book put out by GandF in my library. My personal thoughts are although interesting, there are a couple of threads on here and Javelinahunter.com that offer valuable information also!

    Units 36a, b, c hunt #5097

No need to waste time and money on a book. The two basics are number one they stink, and number two they aren't the best tablefare. That being said they are fun to hunt.

    Need help with value ?

Might want to get with someone who knows something about the 94's. On the earlier models they were 30 WCF, not 30-30.

    Red Rabbit

From what I've seen on here, you have excellent taste in firearms!

    Red Rabbit

I'm assuming that Red Rabbit is a male, so my boat don't float that way! Besides I'm married and my wife is a good enough shot to hit me anyway.
  13. I've been in canyons in southern AZ where 300 yards was a close shot.

    Heavy Duty Storage Boxes

These work ok. Home Depot has them, somewhere around 20.00 if I remember right. I do put something on top of them when they are in the back of my truck, don't want the lids to blow off.

    Safe Highway Fees

BOHICA=Bend over here it comes again!
  17. Don't overlook a .280 Remington, not the AI, just an old school .280. I just got one worked on and it is showing promise. Pencil thin barrel.

    Ballistics Calculations???

I'd rather go with this guy, Billy Dixon than a long range movie guy.

    Ballistics Calculations???

By the pic you posted of your Deer this year, your method seems to work. Do you lick your thumb to get a wind reading and range it at the same time?

    Ballistics Calculations???

Using a ballistic app, you will get one set of data that is "should hit", then using that data you should actually shoot and see what that data does then refine it til you get your "did hit"data. The markings on the tape is did hit.

    Ballistics Calculations???

    I don't use a ballistic app. I use a piece of tape.

    Eagle's Nest

There is a pair that hangs out where I work. This is along the Salt River bed by 19th Ave. I don't know if you can pick them up on the bank or not.

    Lion in Tucson

The question of the day is if you ran into a lion in your back yard, would you try to clean up your underwear or just throw them away after it was over?

    Mixing Powders

You are correct about getting slightly better accuracy from handloads, at least that has been my experience with the Hornady 143 ELD-X in a 6.5 Creedmoor, with my gun anyway. It depends on what you want to do with it also, if you need the most accuracy go with handloads, for something like silhouette, it wouldn't really matter.
