For the price of that model 70, you could buy 3 Tikkas.

The Hunter is a wood stock. There are variations of the wood stock. I believe the Forrest is wood with a roll over cheek piece, they also make a laminate stock. Good choice with the Tikka. I have had 3 and they all shot right out of the box.

I have a Burris 2x7x? with a BDC reticle. I have no idea of the parallex is set on it.

Coming down pretty hard in Cave Creek right now.

On paper it looks about right. I have a 6.5 Creedmoor with a 22 inch barrel, with a 200 zero it has a closer to 55 inch drop at 500, using the same bullet and book velocity.

Bergara B-14 Hunter, 300 Win Mag, 24 inch barrel, looks brand new, right around 80 rounds down the barrel. Haven't shot it that much, got it to shoot with Sierra 180gr GameKings. 600.00

That stock is something else!

If you can't pick them up from an individual, and have to go to a shop, I wouldn't tell them they are going to be used as targets, if that's what they are for. Most places won't sell them as targets due to liability.

lets talk effective distance for caliber/bullet weight
10Turkeys replied to Tac's topic in Long Range Shooting
I've seen a lot of competitors faces after the wind had misplaced their shot wishing that statement was true. Basically two things are going to affect your bullet, gravity and wind. At the City of Safford Rifle Range they have steel cut outs of Deer at 400 and 700 yards. Every time I have been at that range the Deers legs were always shot up at both distances. Apparently someone hasn't figured out the gravity part. No telling on how many have missed due to wind. That range does have some wind. -

Have him make a circle with his finger and thumb and put in front of him, have both eyes open and get the circle in the middle. Have him close one eye at a time, which ever stays in the circle is his dominant eye. If he his right handed and left eye dominant, a piece of tape will work on the left side of his glasses if you want him to shoot right handed.

Sent you a PM.

The Tucson Rifle Club got rain yesterday afternoon, lasted quite awhile.

It's for a BDL. I know a factory spotter barrel fits in the channel, don't know if a larger contour would fit or not.

Wifey introduced this one to some snake shot in the driveway. It's got a green tint to it, don't know if it's a Mojave or not.

Take it up!

In that Javelina book put out by G&F years ago, it shows Javelina dung like that. It also says it depends on what they are eating. Cactus makes it a little more watery, but if they are eating greens it's like that.

Any one want to take a stab (one hint) where this is? Hint number two it's not in AZ.

Winner here. The house is occupied in this fairly recent pic. When I was at Bragg from 78-81, it was boarded up, and no one was allowed in it. CID handles murder cases in the Army. One of the CID agents who handled this case had retired from the Army and was teaching a math class at nearby Fayetteville State University, a friend of mine was taking one of his classes, and the subject of this murder came up and he said that the most incriminating peace of evidence the Army had against MacDonald wasn't allowed in court.

Another look at the house with the address.

No not where Jodi Arias grew up, but what happened here spawned a book and a movie.

The hint stab, something sinister happened here.
