Do like I did. Send Doug a email and thank him for bending (even further)the taxpayers over with this.

Tikka Mag Length //DBM?
10Turkeys replied to duckhunter175's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Call me crazy, but as far as a hunting rifle goes, if someone could shoot worth a dang, what would the need be for a magazine that holds extra rounds? -
For the price of those Kimbers you would expect them to shoot. Like Lance said check your scope screws and your action screws. Another thing that I'll play with a lightweight rifle is my right hand grip on the stock, and with a lightweight gun I would shoot no more that three rounds. Try a firm grip then a half firm and then a grip just enough that your gun won't jump off the bench.

If I had seen this before, I wouldn't have two ex's.

I've seen several in a unit down south, where I hunt. They were in an old 35mm camera tube, taped to a pvc pipe. Some of the claim papers were so brittle they fell apart in your hands.

I picked up a Winchester 70 Featherweight in .308 off from GB a couple of weeks ago, took it to the range with a box of factory ammo, it shot ok. This weekend I put together some 150gr GameKings for it. Three shots at 100, bone stock factory rifle.

I've had about 4-5 .308's, a Rem 700V, a Rem 788, and another Winchester 70 Featherweight made by USRAC, and they all shot.

Nosler Long Range Accubond for hunting???
10Turkeys replied to lionhunter's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
The few that I have shot in a .280 shot real well, 150gr. No experience on a game animal though. -
Saw one on the road by Ft. Thomas and another in 36C.

This was my Wife's show horse, he was struck in the rear leg, after numerous surgeries he was able to come back to about 85%. Every rattlesnake that comes on the property is treated like a tresspasser.

I remember in the 70's there was a story in the Arizona Repulsive about a long haired, tattooed gentleman on a motorcycle who came across a rattlesnake by Canyon Lake, he first was going to shoot it with his pistol, but a crowd was gathering and I guess that he had enough alcohol in his system that he decided that he was going mano a mano with the slithery creature, so he handed his revolver to a nearby watcher. Well after the snake bit him about 4 times, the cops and ambulance was called, before getting loaded onto the ambulance he ask the cops if he could retrieve his handgun, come to find out whoever he gave it to took off with it. Just not his day I guess.

I would take your firing pin out of your bolt and clean that real good and then I would clean your trigger with lighter fluid then blow it out with air, might fix it might not.

Nosler 48 NCH Handgun
10Turkeys replied to Buff-it Ranch's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Looks like a modern XP-100. Pricy little toy. -
With these, there is no need for a P-38.
-
I've yet to see one, but Tikka was supposed to come out with a .22, and it was supposedly threaded for around 450.00. Nobody seems to have one.

Hanoi Jane should have been shot!

That was before my time, but I remember when it was Williams Field Rd. from I-10 to Willie, and every road south of it was dirt.

Old age sucks, but as far as I know it beats the alternative.

I think you left out a couple of things, but you covered the basics!

I realize this is an old post, but I've been to Ridgway, PA, three times and I stayed in St. Mary's two of the three times. Real small town that was fun to stay in.

I'm hoping your using facial recognition and not butt cheek recognition.

Well that takes care of the brass issue. What do you want to do with it? It sits about in the middle of the pack of whats already out there.
-
There are 4 or so manufacturers that are turning out a 6.5 PRC. The biggest con as I see it, as of right now you would be stuck with Hornady brass.

I've been there 1000 times.
