I recently bought a Tikka T3X superlite in 300WM....Id like to stick with factory ammo if I can get it to shoot MOA or better. I've heard these guns are pretty accurate with factory ammo if you can find one the gun likes. My question is.....If you were me and you were gonna buy 2,3,4 different types of ammo off the shelf to try out, which ones would you try? I figure it would like 180-210 grain bullets best? Its a 1:11 twist 24" barrel. Id love to hear from anyone that has a Tikka (especially a 300 WM) what round theirs likes best, maybe there will be a consensus. The most common one I've heard/read is the Hornady Precision Hunter 200gr ELDX.

I don’t necessarily want to shoot a bullet over 180-185. I’ve just heard a lot of guys getting good results with the 200 gr ELDX.
-
Ok, I’ll try the Barnes also.....The Choice ammo i bought is loaded with 180 gr Accubonds. I decided to try that brand because each round is hand loaded and from the same lot, hoping that gives a little better consistency round to round.

I picked up some 185 gr HSM Berger HVLD and some Choice Ammo 180 gr Nosler Accubond, gonna try the 200 gr Hornady ELDX also, still waiting for the scope to come in to go out and test them out.

With only burning 4 or 5 points, hunt it no matter what rather than turning the tag back in. You’re playing with house money at this point!

Unit 62 3rd season for me and a buddy.

Yes you do, costs about $85

Draw results are out, where did everybody draw?

Found the spring online and just ordered it. $10 for the spring.....$9 for the freaking shipping, what a rip! Oh well
-
Good info! Where can i pick up that spring? In the manual it says the factory trigger will go down to the 2.5 pound range, is that not the case without this spring?
-
Good info...have you found a particular ammo that the extreme spread is better than others?

Has anyone went this route? I know there are company’s that you can use to have plans drawn up and will help you with permits and supply you with a list of subs, just wondering if anyone on here has used one or maybe is a pool builder themself. If you have used one, do you recommend them? I’ve heard you can save a ton of $$ doing it this way.

.......huh

Trust me, none of these negative comments are going to sway me from doing it if I want to do it. I know how much my family would use it and that’s why I am doing it. We have a four-year-old that loves to be in the pool, I’m doing it for her. The money spent will be paid back with memories made.

Can you link it here? I can’t find it....or what’s the title, i can look it up that way. Thanks
-
Did you sub it out all yourself of did you hire a company to help you sub it out and draw up plans? Any chance you could link that thread on this on? I’ve tried searching.

Nothing here....says they have my info and shows the account it will be deposited into, says there is no date of deposit yet though.

Ya, i think it’s called mini pebble....what you said to do is exactly what they told me they were gonna do. Called 4 places average price was 350-450 plus another $100 give or take to drain and clean the rust and add all new chemicals.

I purposely didn’t hold any open houses when we put our house on the market. Only had 6 buyers come through in 5 days, mostly because people don’t want to be around strangers or in strangers houses for that matter. I think the people, myself included that are still buying right now are in “recession proof jobs” i work in healthcare, my wife works for a litigation law firm, they are crazy busy right now. We also locked in a really low interest rate and if you’ve done that, you don’t want to risk losing it. If we were buying short term, i wouldn’t do it right now. This next house will be our long term house so we won’t be that affected if it loses value after all is said and done, however i dont think it will. I think all this will be over early/mid summer and the housing market will keep chugging along.....and if not, I’m going to try and scoop up and investment property or 2 🤩

I’m an agent and also just happen to be buying and selling during this deal. We offered on a home the first day it came to market and fortunately got it under contract, it has multiple back ups should we fall through, but it’s in great shape and we close on the 17th. Our home we are selling went under contract in 5 days, hopefully everything goes smooth and we close on the 30th.
