Interesting, is there a rule that says you can’t apply for a leftover tag if you’ve already drawn a tag for the same species? Wouldn’t that be the same thing, except you would hold 2 tags simultaneously.

I told my buddy to call G$F, his kid, not mine, but I thought it was an interesting question.

Are you in favor of the “special draw” like Wyoming has? Pay more money, get better odds? Or the, put in with an outfitter and have better odds, like New Mexico does?

I thought that was always their argument as to why the couldn’t charge up front for tag fees? Didn’t they say they couldn’t charge when no services were rendered at the time?

Points have never been taken into account on turn back tags. If there are 50 tags avail and you were number 51 and someone turns a tag back in, in the past they call and offer it to you, regardless of how many points you have. NOW if guy 51 has standard point guard, but guy 52 has point guard plus, he jumps you in line and is offered the tag before guy 51.

I think you answered your own question. Most hunters have a “hard on” for game and fish raising more money for multiple reasons, one of which you stated. Their customer service sucks. When you call down there they always make you feel like you are burdening them. Invest in that, drain the swamp if that’s what it takes. Get some fresh blood in there that is more customer service oriented, friendlier, more knowledgeable. I think most agree that the portal and online draw process is a dumpster fire. They invest none of this money to fix it, if they are investing in it, they need to be getting a better return for their money! They seem to be stubborn and think that our input is s#it and we don’t know what we are talking about. Kinda like the government they have a “we know what’s good for you and you’ll like it” attitude. Stop allocating so much funds into vehicles. You don’t need a new set of tires on the whole fleet every year! There are vehicles that put maybe 15k miles on a set, they don’t need to be replaced. I know they do this because I used to buy them at Desert Rat and flip them or grab a set for my truck every once in a while.

Doesn’t help that Nissan won’t sell the needed parts to fix the transmission either. Per the mechanic it’s just a pully system that goes bad. Nissan doesn’t sell any transmission parts so they force you to replace the whole thing.

Not that kind of tranny ya pervs…now that that’s out of the way….who is or knows a good transmission mechanic or shop? Preferably in the east valley. My wife’s 2012 Nissan Murano decided to have a tranny issue and have the AC compressor go out all on the same trip up to Payson! Ive had the compressor replace already, but my mechanic doesn’t want to touch the tranny. It has 3 error codes, I have them if needed. He said he thinks it needs a whole new tranny, I’m really hoping it can be repaired.

We changed it at 50k and 100k. The mechanic said regardless of routine maintenance they are almost guaranteed to go out by 180k miles. Ended up costing $5100 with a $400 cash discount.

Ya that’s basically what I’ve heard too. I was quoted $3800-$4500 over the phone before he looked at it. I guess they are known to take a crap between 140k-180k pretty consistently.

Ended up going with Transmission Factory they have pretty extensive knowledge of CVT transmissions. We will see when I get the estimate how bad the damage is.

Anyone on here do it or have a hook up? I’m selling my house and need to get a small rust spot taken off the Pebble Tec. My pool guy says i probably have a small hole or crack in it causing rebar to produce the rust. I guess they will chip out the hole/crack and repair, not too sure. Need an estimate ASAP. Just hit up Walmart for the solid colors. The Walmart in Payson stocks them pretty regularly. I have 4 pairs and I like them a lot. Usually around $20. 4 way stretch and really comfortable. The only thing I like my attack pants better for is scent control. I can wear my attacks for 3-5 days (depending on how hot it is) before they start to smell…..worn.

And groceries are cheaper!
