Or is this a better option? Hello, I have a 300 win mag barreled action. It has a savage action, shilen barrel with muzzle brake that is removable and one piece base and ring's. It will also come with the magazine for a blind mag stock, trigger guard and action screw's. When I bought this I was told between 20 and 30 round's fired and I have not shot it. I was looking for $650 plus shipping.

This rifle is approximately 7 years old and it's been taken on 2 hunts. A pig hunt (successful) and a deer hunt (not successful). Not the guns fault though haha. It's in good shape probably 150 rounds down the barrel...could use a good deep cleaning. I'd like to sell as a package, but can be broken up. Package will come with gun, Nikon buck masters 4.4-14x40 BDC, Caldwell bipod, sling and ammo sleeve for stock and +/- 1 box of factory ammo. I'd like $600 obo. If it's not worth that please let me know. I'm not sure why the pictures post upside down and sideways but I can never get them to post right side up on this site. Sorry.

I've been in the market for a while for a long-range rifle. This is going to be my first attempt at setting up a long-range rifle. I now have two to choose between and would like to get the opinions from some of you more knowledgeable guys. The first rifle I can purchase is a brand-new savage long range hunter 300 WinMag shipped to my door for $725. The other rifle is a Remington 700 Sendero 300 rum fired 46 times. The price on that one will be $1150 to my door. Which rifle would you suggest going with? No gunsmithing work done to either.

Not right now but I will be able to down the road. Don't need the set up in a hurry so I wanna do things right.

The sendero I'm looking at is used so can't choose the caliber unless I go with buds as suggested.

A friend of mine is selling a rifle and I thought it may be a good entry level long range gun for a beginner like me....it's a Remington 300 wsm BDL synthetic stock. Gunsmith work= floated and fluted barrel, barrel threaded and muzzle brake installed, fiberglass bedded action and lug, Timney trigger. I would also like to know what this gun is worth ballpark. I had a member on here contact me about a rifle he's selling in 6.5 x 284 NORMA. I know nothing about that round. Initially I had wanted an all around rifle. Coues, mule deer, antelope, elk ect. (Ect.) Being if I ever went on a moose hunt or something cool like that. Then I got to thinking....I've never once applied for rifle elk. I'm an archery guy. So I'd probably only go on a rifle elk hunt a couple times in my life. I guess my question is...if I went with this round would I end up regretting it if I did go on an elk or moose hunt. Would I end up having to use a bigger caliber?
