Love the story. The topic title does good also!

Nice. looks like you have found some good spots. I liked zooming in and trying to pick apart the photos looking for game. I admit, the duck threw me off.

Ernesto my friend! Have a wonderful evening with plenty of dancing, drinking, and eating! I'm actually surprised you aren't on some ranch down in Mexico right now. Enjoy your day and Happy Birthday!

That is a phenominal buck. Much congratulations and thank you for sharing your hunt with us. Awesome.

Nice set of antlers on that table. Congrats!

Love it. It's totally adjustable for my frame and I'm always finding new pockets! With my 2200 Badlands, I pack it light so I won't bear the burden of the added weight. With this Outdoorsman's pack, i just don't feel it!

Hope you have a memorable one man!

QUOTE (cramerhunts @ Dec 27 2010, 05:54 PM) That looks awesome Hector and I am sure it was! I ended up doing another one yesterday since the first one came out so good on Friday. Thanks for taking the time to share your recipes with us, I always enjoy them. If I can download the pictures from Tammy's camera I'll post up some pictures of the meal you prepared for us a couple weeks ago. You've been eating good Phil! Yeah, post up some pics of the other weekend. That was fun. Great people, good food, and talking about hunting always makes for a swell evening!

Ron, I say you are right! Shoot one of everything! The wild pigs eat way better than javalina! The wild pigs, like any wild game, are lower in fat content and you just have to be careful not to overcook it and let it dry out. The nice thing about them being considered vermin is you can practice and practice until you get a few delicious methods under your belt. Notice I said "methods" and not recipes. Recipes contain "ingredients" like spices and such. What is much more important here is the method in which the boar is cooked, to keep it as moist as possible. Low and slow is good. You can't go wrong with pit BBQ style. If you like, you can send it in to get sausage made and have them mix in real pork and pork fat. Delicious. Let us know how he fares and hopefully you get to try some things out. Shoot me an email if you do, you've got my e-mail!

QUOTE (roninflag @ Dec 27 2010, 09:21 AM) all i have is "non stick' PANS can i still sear it in that?? Yes, you can sear it in that. You just have to be careful not to get the pan so hot that it warps. The olive oil that you coat the rib in helps with the searing process as well.
