    What's for dinner tonight?

I took them off the smoke and let them air out a little. I’ll put them in the fridge with plastic wrap on top. it will smoke the fridge a bit, but time will fix that.

    What's for dinner tonight?

I also took the time to run a light smoke on some lamb racks that we are having for dinner tomorrow. I’ll be pan searing them before finishing by basting with butter, garlic, and rosemary. Our friends from Madrid are going to love them.

    What's for dinner tonight?

At the moment, I've got venison brats simmering in beer while waiting for a bed of pecan coals to form on the grill. Here's to Friday nights. 🍺

    Conservation First Super Raffle Taxes

Definitely have to pay taxes on larger valued raffle winnings. . True Story: Company won a boom truck at an in person/live raffle...re-donated it into and during the live event 10 seconds later. Company had to pay taxes on it. Bummer.

  12. I just want to be able to post with my ram in my avatar!

  14. I don't know exactly what the ratio is supposed to be. I can understand adding an additional tag to a hunt. To double the number of tags in a unit and go to a split season is another story.
  15. I have yet to draw a sheep tag in any state. I assist on sheep hunts every year dreaming of the season I draw and have a chance at a class IV ram. Just to add, for the past several years, we see a lot of beautiful "up and comer" rams. These rams have a slimmer chance of making their true potential with the added increases in tags in the SW Az units.
  16. I complained about this too. Because of quality. Number of Class IV rams (not) in abundance in several of the units with tag increases. I'm borderline pissed.

    Poaching ring busted

As I type, I remember a funny story. Every so often on the Chuuk Islands, they would get Greenpeace type folks anchor and try and save the people from their own paradise. Well, the Chuukese know to not tell the visitors what they were eating (dog) until AFTER the meal. They would get a kick out of seeing them distraught, appalled, and you can think of everything else. Ahhhh, good times.

    Poaching ring busted

I lived and worked as a Chef in Guam for a couple of years right before Y2K. I befriended several of the Chamorro and Chuukese and they taught me how to deep dive snorkel and spearfish. We hunted everything from parrotfish to octopus, great times and fond memories for sure. They told me that in Chuuk they loved dogs and had them as pets. During a bad typhoon season, when they couldn't fish, they would eat them. "They make good pets and are tasty too" is what one told me. I remember that to this day. Interesting to note, they would only eat the black ones. They deemed them safer to eat and less prone to getting you sick as they had less likelihood to have vaccines etc. (!?)

    ANY FARMERS OR IRRIGATORS ????

Be prepared to know your pressures coming from your well pump. Also distances and elevation changes from your water source to the farthest starting point on your field/s. This will correlate to what components will work best for you with reels. (diameter hose etc.)
