Cow Elk Urine Wafers will usually keep them at bay.

Hey Jimmer, this ones for you!

Wow, that IS pretty good vid. Amanda, will you have these for sale this weekend at the ISE show?
  3. The worst part is that this ban will easily pass. Obama supporters are no friends of mine.

    Bino Pouch available now!

Thanks Amanda, I'll take a look at the large version at the ISE show. Hopefully heading to Glendale on Sunday as I have to work Saturday.
  5. This is my Marlin 444P chambered for the .444 Marlin. I'm getting her ready for Africa next year. I'll be taking a Kudu and a Giraffe with her. I'll be shooting CorBon 305 grainers. Had a newer peep sight and front done up. The front has a fire-glo insert. (That's a quick-tatch weaver mount on the scope for easy removal to use the iron sights) They also re-crowned the barrel and slicked up the loading gate and ejection port. I also had the for end stock slimmed down, points real nice. Just wanted to share as I know there are some lever guys on the forum.

That's a nice buck. Too bad he knew where the boundary was! I guess 112"-115"

    Lever Gun guys...

Keith, The CorBon's "push" into me a bit more than the 265 grain Hornady LR ammo. Still bearable as my rifle is ported and I have a thick Pachmayr decelerator pad installed. Although no comparison to a 460 grain hardcast out of the .45-70 cowboy! That thing kills from both ends! Definitely a blast to shoot and I'm suprised at how balanced and easy to point that long octagon barrel is. Have you tried Buffalo Bore ammo out of yours? Like the 500 grainers?!! I know Cabela's carries it albeit a bit pricey.

    Another Covert trail cam video

Very cool. Plus what a great sampling of what you can do with your camera Amanda! I enjoyed the vid, even the music. Pretty cool to see the pictures in sequence so one can see the "movement" frame by frame. Noice!

    Lever Gun guys...

Thanks so much for the kind comments. More D, I had Grizzly Custom Guns out of Montana do the work. PM me if you would like more info and/or before you decide on what you want. I could give you some tips. I have three Marlins chambered in .44 mag and love them. High capacity and handy. That caliber is a thumper out of the carbines. 240 grains and you have dead pigs, deer, etc. at close range.

    Angie's 1st Big Game Success

Great job Angie. The smile says it all. Your boyfriend is one lucky dude. I'd be content to find a girl that doesn't nag about my hunting. Keep it up, it looks like you are hooked.

    PRIMOS Trigger Stick...

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I'll end up getting a bi-pod trigger stick. I can definitely see it come in handy in the tall grass when you have no rest and have to stand. It's quick too, perfect when getting the stalk on.
  13. https://shop.primos.com/pc-1226-112-tall-mo...gger-stick.aspx I am interested in picking one up. I veer towards the tall mono pod. I played around with one at Bass Pro the other day and like the speed in which you can adjust the height. Any other good, easy to carry, quick adjust sticks you folks recommend? ...or...should I just stick to a Harris bi-pod and forget it?

    PRIMOS Trigger Stick...

Thanks for your feedback. I was contemplating that this past Sat. as I was yote hunting. The bipod version would allow you to "rest" your rifle on it easier too.
  15. Yup, it's the passion of hunting and the outdoors shared by many like minded individuals. Group us all together and we get all crazy like. A lot of good people on this site, addicts but good.
  16. I don't think Manny has permission from the hunter to post it on the WWW. He does have it displayed by a firearms case though for his customers to enjoy. (while it's there anyway)
  17. Friends, Have any of you seen the monster coues rack from this season in Mexico? That thing is a BEAST! I recommend to go check it out while it's there. Manny (owner) told me he guided the hunter too.
  18. The mass is awesome, so are the extra tines, the tine length, the blading, just unreal. I think I would do backflips if I ever shot a buck with that much character. Manny is doing a great job with the store. Best customer service I have ever received from an independent gun store, heck ANY gun shop!

    ISE Show

I'm going to try and make it Amanda. A lot going on this weekend here in the valley it seems.
  21. Congrats again buddy on scoring that hunt! Do me a favor and bring me back a bracelet from your bull tusker. I wasn't gonna say nothin', but I still have nightmares of when you missed that buck. j/k...I think you'll get yet ANOTHER shot at him and he'll be 5" BIGGER! & yeah...I'm jealous of that elephant hunt.
  22. You will find answers to all your questions concerning coues deer hunting from reading the book "How to Hunt Coues Deer" available for purchase on this site. I highly recommend it, especially for someone n your circustance. A wealth of info in it's pages. Check the link: http://www.coueswhitetail.com/bookstore/books.htm

Mexico 08/09! (Long & Pic Heavy)

Congrats again Phil! Great buck and great pictures. I am happy you tagged a nice one and look forward to see what continues to come out of that ranch. I got your e-mail, I'll give you a holler tomorrow before I take off to Mississippi. Congrats to you guys again. (you guys need to smile more)
