  1. Prayers sent. I know that helpless feeling when there is nothing close by and things go awry. I know I did the same thing as you and prayed. GOD anwered my prayer and made several miracles happen that day. Nine surgeries later, our 16 year old friend is walking again. I pray your son makes a better recovery.

    Long story buck.

Much congrats on the buck! Tim...great to finally see that buck hit the dirt. It's much more rewarding knowing you have pics of him from past years I bet. Let us know what the officil score is too. I know you said his points aren't all that long but they doo look extra short with all that width. Kind of takes you for a loop when you first see him and try and score from just the pic. Congrats again guys! Tim, now you just have a bull tag to fill!
  3. Man what a bad deal all the way around. I just paid for my Excaliber last week too.

    The Right Rifle ammo.

Leverevolution is the way to go. Great ballistics and performance. My rifle loves them and they group 1 1/2" at 100 yards, through an 18 1/2" barrel. To add to singleshots' comments, yes, you can shoot a hard-nosed pointed bullet in the chamber but NEVER put hard-nosed pointed bullets in the tubular magazine of a lever action rifle. The nose makes contact with the primer of the bullet in front of it and could ignite the round upon recoil. This is what Leverevolution ammo is intended do... achieve the ballistics of a pointed bullet while still being able to load safely into a tubular mag. Hence the soft nose. Here's a post on the topic a while back... http://forums.coueswhitetail.com/forums/in...ic=3565&hl=

    Tucson area guys

Just run it off. You'll feel better after about the seventh mile. All kidding aside, glad you feel better. A bad case of food poisoning is no laughing matter. When I was in school they gave us all these actual case scenarios on what can happen when food born illness sets in. The worst accidents are allergies...like when you are allergic to oysters and don't know it, then slurp down a half a dozen. Dude was dead in five minutes.

    2008 Archery Elk.

I've been logging on everyday waiting for the story to unfold on here. First off...CONGRATULATIONS JIM!!! Sounds like you guys had a great time. I am really happy you tagged out. I've yet to meet anyone that spends so much time dedicated to their hunt than you. Awesome pictures as usual and the video clips are great Phil! That was cool too, how you guys got the shot on video. Jim, so what are you going to hold out for when you draw the tag AGAIN next year?!
