  5. I was called this AM and notified that Merle Saldeen from Young Az. passed last night. He ran Merle & Kathy's Bar in Young Az for over 45 years. May he rest in peace.

Post your best Black Friday deals!

I ordered two pair of Crispi guide boots from Black Ovis. *Camofire (owned by B.O.) has the same prices as of yesterday. . Just as an FYI, Sportsman's Warehouse has them online for a very similar price, but adds tax to your purchase in Az. So, I opted to go with B.O. instead. I used what I would have paid in taxes for faster shipping.

    ARIZONA GROWN PECANS

As you head down, make sure you fuel up in Marana or the Speedway later on down on Sandario & Picture Rocks Rd. The Chevron at Three points is closed and only one pump is working at the Sasabe store.

Setting kids up for the shot

I've had 10-year-old kids, both girls and boys, licking their chops ready to harvest their first big game animal. I understand what you're saying though, I just feel we can't place a blanket rule out there. Everyone is different. BTW, girls do better than boys when it comes to paying attention, staying focused, following instruction, and have been better shots in my experiences.
  13. Keep up the dream season! Congrats on #3!

Setting kids up for the shot

Casey, if your son loves to be outside, play in the dirt, is curious about lizards-birds-frogs, and gets excited when he sees a simple coyote... ...You should have no problems with helping him have a good time. That's what it's about. Hunting IS fun, especially if Dad helps make it so. From hiking, to off-roading, to camping and campfires - it's a young boys dream. Get him familiar with the activity. Don't expect him to get it on his first run as It may take 3-5 hunts to get him on track. If he loses interest, then it's all over. I know this isn't what you asked, but I've seen time & time again where Dads are heartbroken because their kids don't want to be in the hills with them. Almost every time, it was Dad's fault by applying too much pressure.
