    Wild Game Processing-Tucson

It’ll take about 2-3 hours to process the whole thing and in the freezer. Good knives, paper, vac sealer, and a grinder. I’m still using my hand grinder but looking to go electric.

AZGFD Dec 7th Commission Meeting - Education Funding

Just got an email today about buying you license from anywhere other that G&F I’ll post the A.R.S. They state that this new rule will allow full license fee to go to wildlife conservation. Doesn’t the price of our license go to the general fund? If so, how can they make this claim? A change in the law (A.R.S. § 17-338) allows dealers to “collect and retain a reasonable fee as determined by the license dealer in addition to the fee charged to issue the license or permit.” The law also eliminates the 5 percent commission that dealers currently deduct and keep from sales of licenses, tags or stamps. That means after Jan. 1, the dealers will transmit to AZGFD the full value of the license for each sale and the dealers will retain the convenience fee, if any. “The price that Arizona Game and Fish charges for hunting and fishing licenses, tags and stamps will remain the same as before,” said Doug Cummings, assistant director for support services. “Dealers will have the ability to charge a convenience fee, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they will. It will be up to each dealer whether or not they charge a fee.” Cummings pointed out that receiving the full monetary value of each license will benefit department programs, allowing more money to be put into wildlife conservation. Game and Fish is stipulating that dealers who charge a convenience fee must post the amount in an area clearly visible to customers.

    Late Hunt - Rutting???

Had a couple of bigger bucks with swollen necks this past weekend, sniffing the air and locking antlers with each other. Seemed early but they sure looked rutty.

I’ll pay the 20 bucks and spread the word about the good hunting does. But if anyone thinks that the g&f and other organizations will be able to stop a ban in the future is crazy!

Northerner heading South in January (recap)

You can try a little bit of all of those units this coming January and focus on the one/ones you like for the year after. All while still having some chance at killing a deer. I do believe a few miles hike in unit 27 will be totally different than North Dakota due to terrain. Weather is not predictable, just be ready to hit the highway quick if it gets bad.

    Hunters n Ranchers

I’d prefer not to say where, especially on a public forum. The how was as easy and knocking on doors and offering help to every rancher I could get ahold of. Then proving thru my actions that I’m not one of the bad ones. I gained access in 4 different units and I’m still wearing a couple of guys down lol but I see permission from them coming soon. Today we helped on a round up instead of hunting and showed the location of a busted water line due to a freeze. Ended up packing up camp and heading out early so we wouldn’t be in their way in any manner. They said it was unnecessary but I could tell they appreciated us getting out of their way.
