That coffee maker makes the most “home tasting” coffee I’ve found. I enjoy camp coffee but only when I’m camping! Broke my Coleman pot and went to a French press while in the hills. Just not the same. Good deal on it all.

Upper level guys may not “believe they know best” but they might be going by budget, or any other restriction. I was in your shoes (not azgfd) but became a decision guy. I see all 8 sides now!
