How do we change the health insurance and retirement benefit that they get? They are the ones who control it!! Only way to "maybe fix it" is to vote in honest people but why be honest if you know once elected your gonna get a good life ater 4-6 years.

Disagree with cutting congressmen down. For example, in AZ all they'd have to do is please Phoenix and Tucson. The rest of the state would be represented by what the big cities want. Not saying the rural areas are represented perfect now but at least we have somewhat of a say in who we vote into office.

Your story was gut wrenching! Tested up a few times since I've lost a few good dogs. Last good dog was stomped by cattle that run thru our place. She loved the cows and always hearded them away from the house (not our cows) she also snuck out of the yard to do so one day after grocery shopping late in the evening we came home, she was swollen and hurt bad. I followed her blood trail out of the yard. The hoove print on her side was a dead give away as to what happened. It was a very sad day shooting that dog. Amanda, Julie went out knowing she was the best, she had conquered all woods maybe even the one she was in. No regrets, I'd say she wasn't surprised. I'd say she took one for the team! True or not she saved peoples lives. dang dogs (kids) we love them so much!!

I've witnessed how the soft shell turtle can stretch its neck about to its back legs (caught on a worm). I'm going to catch those too later this summer. Turtle soup is pretty good . I'd like to add a pic of a soft shell caught this year but I no longer have home internet or TV. amen for the no tv and internet. We're the same. Cell phone does what I need. If I want more then I don't need it! As far as people loving you.... So how was the overall hunt? I'll be up there Thursday for my hunt on Friday. Was up there the past two weekends and during the week. Lots of logging going on they out the unit. Only a few quite places where I saw turkey and elk. Didn't see any vehicles or people the whole time scouting but one of the three places I saw turkey was where your talking about.
