As long as you've had fun trying, that's all that matters. Getting the chance for a kill is f'ing amazing, being able to pick and choose your kill is exceptional, killing a monster is breath taking. I hate to be cliche, but the most passionate fun there is, is trying.

Don't sign for any register mail, don't check it online, and don't talk to the server. If you do... You admit fault. If you don't..... They can't ticket a person unless it given by an actual officer or server. My dad got one about 5 yrs ago when the cameras first started in Tucson, he avoided it all but when registration time came, he had to pay the ticket before he could register his vehicles. I'm sure the intentions are good, and he's trying to give back stuff to the rightful owner. I'm also going on better judgment and saying that the people actually lost their stuff. It just seems weird that he's posting trail cam pics of the people (from their trail cam??) I guess I don't know the whole story and I'm speculating way to much.

Ok, I've called in one bobcat a few years ago, mouth call mouse squeak. I've been mouth callin for along time, called in my fair share of critters. I got a fox pro for Christmas. Took it out today and played the blue jay distress. Haha had around 30 bluejays surrounding my call in the first 25 minutes. About minute 35 a red tail hawk swooped into my call and darn near stole my turkey feather decoy!!! All the other blue jays tried to attack that hawk. About the 40 minute mark things calmed down, I called continuos for 1:05 minutes. I didn't expect a cat to come in the first stand out but question is, did the other blue jays and the hawk mess it up or help it? Should I start out with a cat in heat or another cat call or just continue with starting with a distress call? I have different distressed bird calls for hand calls that have worked wonders in the past, I'll download them to the fox pro soon. Any help would be great. You can pm if you don't want the whole world and their brother knowing your tips. Thanks.

There are far two many people in America with several "assault weapons" (I hate that term) hundreds of magazines and thousands of rounds of ammunition, most if not all of these people's stuff is off the radar and I would bet many people will keep their mouths shut and not register a dang thing.

If he or family members are on this site I'm sure everyone will thank him for being responsible in his actions, I personally do, I understand why he might not want it public record, since you know him, pass the word on from me.

Don't quote this but, I heard on the radio this morning, the man that jumped on the Giffords shooter was armed and decided with all the people around he couldn't get a clean shot. True or not he's a hero for attacking the shooter and even more so a hero for practicing good judgement and not shooting into a crowd.

This past weekend I was walking out the door, gun on my shoulder, binos around my neck, call in hand. Headed out varmint calling. As I exited the house I catch 3 coyotes about 100 yards away (I live in a remote area) I set all my stuff down on the steps, hurry inside to get the 22 rifle I keep by the front door and go after them. These same coyotes have been killin my outdoor cats the past few weeks, and destroying my rabbit population. I caught up with them just as I saw one grab a jack rabbit!!!! Another decided he wanted half of that rabbit and 50yards from me I watched them tear a live rabbit in half!! Yes, the rabbit in distress call sounds like a real rabbit, for sure!!!! I got a shot off on one of them head on and managed to shoot the butt end of the jack out of his mouth but no dead coyote.

I gotta agree with snapshot, there is never a good time to talk about these issues, might as well be now. Extreme or not, bad stuff for gun owners will come from this tragic event. Our presidents poor attempt for sorrow a half hour ago doesn't convince me that he cares what happened to those poor kids. He has an agenda and it will be carried out. I can't say that I agree with conspiracy theories, but I can't say that I don't, does that make sense? A theory is just that, a theory. You choose to believe it or not. In the case of the recent shooting, I choose to believe that it was a pissed of young guy who wanted to die and decided to make a name for himself. I would like to believe that is true not only in this case but in all the other events in the past years. However, who's to say its not some sorta gov. plot to take our rights away? I personally don't know the truth either way so I'll say this... Believe what you want, don't negate another's theory, instead I would advise looking into all possibilities and choose the one that feels right in your mind, god created man equal but gave them the ability to think for themselves, don't trash that.

I haven't killed a deer with my bow since the mandatory reporting had been in effect, do they physically check the animal or is it a phone # to call to report? I would think to make it mandatory it'd have to be a physical check, I think a physical check for all deer hunts would be the most accurate way to get harvest reports, although the g&f would have to have stations set up in various places around the state, not just their offices, I'd be happy to "check in" my kill if they had check points. If you have to drive to an office, I don't see very many people doing it.

Yep, been eatin jack rabbit since July. Just told the wife in November she was eatin rabbit hahaha. She wasn't mad cause she liked the dishes I was makin!! I'm lucky enough to be able to hunt small game from my back porch, big game if I wanted but I like watching them too much.

I've used Harry Lawson's a few times before, best work I've seen!! Prolbem is, they wait til they have enough rifles to make it worth while to mix a batch of bluing salts, if enough in Tucson or surrounding areas need a rifle done, maybe they'll be quicker? It took around 8 months last time, the results were exceptional though. If anyone has a quicker, better shop let me know, I need a few done as well.
