I did the butcher block top on 4x4’s when I first started. Had an uncle die about 15 years ago and he had his set up like a vise or bench grinder. Big rim welded to a pipe with a plate on top, press bolted to the plate. I’ve used that method since with no issues.

It came out great! It’s a recipe I love but rarely do, I usually cube the sweet potato’s and add purple onion, mushroom, calabicitas squash, Brussel sprouts, carrots and season with garlic pepper and olive oil. Baking dish in the toaster oven for 35 minutes makes lunch side dish for the week. Cook some pork tenderloin or chicken with it and your set.

Same, we were always at the lakes around show low or alpine or black river. Occasionally we’d go around silver city but it’s been years. Just wanted a change from the norm. If it suck then I’ll be back in the crowds next trip.

Anyone been to the lakes or Gila River recently? Planning a week long trip later this month for different scenery. It’s been several years since I’ve been in that area so just looking for new/local input. Is Robert’s and bill Evan’s still good for bass? Fly pole on the river still ok for trout? Any areas I’m missing? Might drive to elephant butte for a morning but it’s kinda far. Thanks in advance.

Had a “few” dove in a homemade Italian dressing that were good! Main course was shrimp and grits and halibut with a cream sauce.not many pictures but I’ll let you know the halibut was dry after 7-8 minutes!! Go 4-5 minutes. Fish and sauce was good but the fish was a touch dry for me!!

Going next month for a 4 day trip. New to me, maybe not you. The temp out of state fishing license for 24 bucks requires a few other things that turns it into a $43.00 charge (two pole stamp $4.00) I called and confirmed but bottom line, look what you need if your doing online. Website said it would automatically apply the needed charges but I found that out after adding them.

I hired a guide the day credit cards were hit. I live really close to the area but the money for the guide is worth it to me.
