20 miles in three days and had time to glass hours upon hours? Thinking maybe more glassing and less hiking. Critters will bust out of the country at the smallest noise! I prefer to get to a good spot and glass all day. Let them do the moving.

So I slept in the back of the truck or on a cot out in the open for years! Good sleeping bag, got dressed and undressed in the bag (yes I cramped up lots!) a few years ago I started to use a tent. So hunting for 30 years but new to tents lol. Question.... when you don’t have a floor in your tent, how do you keep the cold ground temps up and how do you keep rain and run off from running under the tent walls? Obviously you try to set up where run off is minimal but how do you keep the ground warm and dry? I’m using a cheaper easy set up tent now and I set it up like my bedroom at home, makes it more homey to sleep that way with heat lol.

Had one just like that on my Jeep. Ugly but worked great!

Almost any unit with wilderness would be good. In reality if your more than a mile from the truck you’ll be alone. 33, 32, the 24’s, 27,28, etc. all have places to get away.

I don’t think you’d have to move your phone? I’d use it on something with a bigger screen. As you scan with you spotter/bino, you just watch the screen. That’s my concern. Is the screen view as good as the real life view?

There’s like a huge polar freeze coming or there already? Global warming? Or cooling? Not sure really? But either way it’s supposed to be bad. Maybe the Canada deer watch more cnn and c-span than you do? They’re eating gravy fries and watching Red Green in their deer houses and laughing at you with you cheap butt heater.
