Had a good coyote hunt this morning in southern Arizona with my son. We made 8-stands, took 4-coyotes and I had one miss. Longest shot was 35-yards. Closest shot was 18-yards. 3 of the coyotes were taken with the. AR-15s in the picture. Shooting hand loaded 55-grain VMax bullets with Varget powder. One was shot with the Benelli Super Vinci shooting 3.5 inch #4 buckshot (54 pellets). All-in-all a great day.

Called in our first bobcat today. Shortly after starting our 3rd stand this morning we saw what looked like a light colored tree stump about 90-yards out. We watched this stump for about 6-minutes and it never moved. At that time we saw a fox coming in. The fox was taking his time until he got close to the stump and then he took off. My son brought his AR15 up slowly and dialed the scope up to 6x. He could clearly see the “stump” was a bobcat He put the cross hairs under the cats chin and touched off the round. The 55 grain Vmax hit the bobcat a little below the bottom jaw and a little left of center, exiting behind its right shoulder. Our first bobcat was down

Went out this morning with both of my boys for the youth turkey hunt. We heard the first gobble at 5:30 am and about 300 yards away. We quickly cut the distance to about 100 yards. The Tom wouldn’t stop gobbling from the roost. Once he flew down he made his way straight towards us and our decoys. After a few minutes he came out of the junipers and Jacob took a shot at 25-yards and putting his first turkey down

Here is a european mount we did of a javalina my son shot. He shot the javalina at 15 yards with a win. 308. The only shot he had was a head shot. We understand the ethics of shot placement but based on conditions and his experience we made the decision to take the shot.

Noah filled his last AZ Junior's deer tag this morning. We spent three days hiking and glassing from well before sunrise to a little after sunset. Noah was determined to find a good Coues Whitetail. We saw some tremendous bucks, both before the season while scouting and then during the season. We made several stalks over the three days that covered thousands of yards, but things just didn’t work out until Monday morning at about 8:00 am. Noah found this buck on a hill about 1,200 away. We were able to close the distance to 350 yards when Noah took one shot and his tag was filled. I'm so happy to have been able to spend the time with him and even happier that he can carry his own deer out now!!! For those interested in the details, Noah was shooting a Remington Sendero II in 300 Remington Ultra Mag. The rifle was skim bedded, a terminator break was installed and a Timmney trigger added The scope, a Leupold ERT 6.5-20x 50 with 34 mm tube is mounted with a LaRue QD one piece mount on a LaRue 20 MOA rail. Noah was shooting his own hand loads which were 208 Hornsby ELD-M bullets and Hodgon H-1000 with FED 215M primers and Norma brass. The day before his hunt started he took a 500-yard cold barrel shot that was 2”inches low and centered, he followed that with an 875 yard shot that was 2” low and 2” right.

High clearance pop-up with large storage rack on the front of the trailer is easily towed by a 1/2 ton pickup. One queen bed at the front of the trailer and one at the rear. Slide out dinette converts into a bed as well. Bench seats at the dinette have storage underneath. Two burner cook stove. Running hot and cold water in the sink and outside shower. Unfortunately we didn't draw any Coues tags this year so we need to sell this spotting scope. We bought the scope last year through Vortex. it is the newest generation of the Razor HD 27-60 x 85 angled Spotting Scope. The scope has a couple very minor cosmetic blemishes on the rubber armor. The glass is in like new condition with NO blemishes, scratches, etc. We are asking $1,100 for a face to face deal. If you want to have it shipped (we're in Vail, AZ) we will have to work something out. Thanks!

Congratulations to the kids and parents and thanks to all the mentors for helping out!

Jake and Noah filled their 2017 Javalina tags yesterday in the Rincon Mountains. This was jake's first big game animal and Noah's second javelina. We glassed the herd about 1,300 yards away, almost every yard of that was uphill. After hiking up the mountainside we found the herd rooting around in some open grass. Jake took the first shot and put his javelin down and Noah followed up shortly after with another one shot harvest. We took some photos and then cleaned the javelin and started the mile and a half hike out. Another great day in the field with the boys!
