My broadhead through tire test
BowhuntCoues replied to azhuntnut's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
That's too funny!!!! But I don't think the wife would let me mount one of those. The only critters I shoot like that are the slow 8x8x16 blocks and they don't treat a broadhead very good. -
I emailed Amanda photos of a buck I shot Saturdy morning so you will see them soon. I had awesome weekend, seen many bucks and a few bigger then the one I shot, they just kept winding me 26' up in my treestnd, it was like hunting turkey's as nervice as they were. On a serious note allways wear saftey equipment when utilizing your treestand, that includes climbing up and down. I had a good friend fall yesterday afternoon and had to take him to the hospital . It only takes a second to fall and it could be a very serious fall, so be careful.

BowhuntCoues replied to fatfootdoc's topic in Miscellaneous Items related to Coues Deer
Heck, maybe if they were inside they thought you were taking them to the reunion and that was the setup. That was a good one. -

I would guess around 14" to 15". Nice photos!!!! -
Great buck!!! Good luck on your hunt. Unit 45 has some good genes in it to keep putting out those quaility bucks.

Got my deer yesterday
BowhuntCoues replied to galiuro mountain man's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
Nice bucks just seen the photos . Don't give up on the mechanicals, I have shot many animals with them with no problems what so ever. I do not like the Snypers though, you have to have the rubber to hold them into position for them to shoot good. Try shooting the Ironhead XP's, they shoot like darts and do not have the rubber. You can shoot them 5-6 times in a target then change blades and off you go. I have one broadhead I shot 4 animals with and as with all broadheads its about shot placement for performance. Mechanicals enable you to have better arrow flight for those not so good conditions we tend to shoot in. -
I emailed Amanda some photos that were collected last week. It will make you sit tight all day knowing you have that much traffic at a paticlar spot. Deer were coming in at all times of the day and heavy from Noon to 2:00PM. Hope you like the photos.

Did anyone see or get a bear this
BowhuntCoues replied to coues7's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Nice bears Josh!!! You can tell the 2nd bear does have a few miles on the body. Good job. -
Great job standman. Can't wait to see the photos.
-
Each of his bases measured 4 5/8" and thru the main beam was 4 2/8". The one G4 I measured at 1 1/8". Hopefully good news on my buddy, he may only need surgery on his wrist. They had though he may need surgery on his face and now they think not. So that could be good news and he is doing alot better.

Mike, Just seen the photos. NICE BUCK. Looks like an excellent shot.

I was up about 26' in that stand. Just put a tape to the buck and he will probably gross 104" to 105". 16" main beams and 14 2/8" inside width. Alot bigger than what I thought.
