Howdy, I drew an Oryx tag in Rhodes Canyon. I was wondering if others have hit this tag and are willing to share their thoughts. My hunt dates are late Auguet. Thanks....Happy Hunting!

Guys, Thanks for the replies. Hunter4life, Nice animal. It's a beaut! Do these things live in the flats like antelope, or are they hill dwellers. Any info is much appreciated. Cheers!

Hello...doing some e-scounting on this, but I do appreciate the help. I drew a 24 whitetail tag. It was my third choice. I'm not familar with the unit, but I wanted to get a tag this year. Any comments on the unit? I will do the scouting legwork, so not looking for a specific spot. Just wanted to get the opinion of people that have hunted there what it's like, what to expect, etc. I will be driving over from AZ later this month to look around. Thanks, QC

Hello, I found a duffel bag in 24b. (I suspect it belongs to a Coues hunter.) If it's yours, please PM me with a description of its contents and location, and I'll figure out how to get it back to you. Thanks....

The past two years I hunted that unit on the junior hunt and saw the same 400 class bull got to within 80 yds both times the firdt year i shot a cow out of his group this past yaer he was alone. Skybowhunter, Cool...I don't think I've ever seen anything >350 in real life, let alone in 6a. I'm stoked....Your comment got me more excited. Hopefully, I run into this fellow and at least get a chance to scare him with some smoke and projectiles. If you want to share any advice, I'll gladly take it. Happy hunting!

Hey folks, Just curious how the 24B October hunters did. I have a November tag, so I hope you didn't smoke the big one I have been watching--if you did, congrats....he is nice. Happy hunting! P.S. See any quail covies?

Folks, I have hunted 24B the last two years in December for Coues. I have seen a couple of nice deer, but I have never been able to connect on them. (Not monsters, but just good deer.) I drew a 24B November tag this year (my second choice). My question to the board is would you expect to see the deer higher up than they are in the December hunt? (The area I hunt is about 5,000 feet.) I am excited, but I know that this is a tough unit. I'd like to hear what anyone has to say, opinions, etc. I am e-scouting, but I plan on also putting in a lot of footwork. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!

I have a HAM tag for 24B. I haven't seen a porker in three weeks. Am I the only one missing them or are they way down in population. I put in for this unit because it looked good and is close to the valley. Any advice or thoughts are appreciated. Happy Hunting to all!

Folks, Thanks for the advice. I'm heading out this weekend to see if I can find any (sconting only--HAM hunt). Even if I don't find any, it sounds like it will be good from a weather perspective. One of these days, I may get lucky.... Thanks again!

Hello Everyone, I was just wondering what the line is like at San Carlos when the open license sales in December. Do you need to be there 3 days in advance? I have heard some crazy stories and would like to get some input. I may try to get one this year if I have enough time. Thanks in advance. Happy Hunting!

Hey folks, I hunt 24B for quail quite often. I have seen some small bucks in the unit, but nothing that is huge. I applied for this unit for whitetails and I drew. I am not e-scouting because I have some places to go, but I thought I would get other opinions on this unit from the board. Has anyone seen any toads, or should I take the first stub that runs through? I just thought I would see what everyone has to say about this unit. (Also if you tie a good one up to a fence post, I'll take it off your hands, ha, ha!) Thanks!
