is a 25-06 to much for javelina

Ha ha, won't have to worry about gutting that one.....or even carving it up. A friend once told me the best way to prepare a pigalina is get a shovel and dig a pit, kick it in, fill pit back up. I like making green chili and fennel sausage myself.

    How many points?

Hey swivelhead, where is this info on tag distribution?
  14. What all do you put in with it when you cook it? I use either a pork fat or bacon layer in the bottom, then the meat, sprinkle diced garlic over that, layer of red onion and another layer of fat or bacon.

    How many points?

Thanks guys. Holly smokes...I may never get one. I know I "got the bug" kinda late in life, so it is what it is. I should chill I guess. It's still exciting come draw time though!

My first Arizona whitetail hunt- 36C

p.s. Andrew, For glassing, get some good glass and I like the eye - cups that shield your eyes from the sun. 15 X 56's with a tripod are great for picking out deer. A good comfortable chair to sit in is important to me. I also take a good butt pad for the chair, or if I find a good place to sit on ground or a rock. Plus it comes in handy for knee's while you tend to your deer! Good luck next time!

My first Arizona whitetail hunt- 36C

Really good read with interesting points that we knew but had maybe forgotten. Just wait until you get one in your sights....that's a rush....but putting your tag on one is over the top! Welcome to Arizona coues deer hunting and the best Web site on the WWW.

    26m pig

The hunt came in this last Friday and if you only shot 1 pig in 2013 then you can harvest another on this non=permittag. If you were to shoot one on December 31 you are allowed to shoot another on Jan 1st as long as you bought another non-permit tag. Normally you wouldn't be allowed to shoot two in the same unit as your tag was issued for but I was told from azgfd you just buy another non=permit and Jan 1st starts another year. So it's possible you could shoot 3 pigs in 3 days. One on Dec. 31st/non-permit, one on Jan. 1st/non-permit or where you were drawn for archery, and another left over archery tag. Sweet! TJ Hey TJ, are you going to go out with this tag this year (or next)? That'd be fun! Give our best to Peg......missing that spread and great company we enjoyed at your house that Christmas.

Now I have 2 spring turkey tags!

Cool! 2 early spring turkey hunts to look forward to. I bought a San Carlos tag last spring and got drawn for unit 27. This will be the first time back to 27 since the Wallow fire after hunting there 4 or 5 years prior. Anyone hunted there since the fire?
