Well I posted a week or two a thread with a pic of a shed I had glassed up! I got back in there and it was still there! so I made the long haul to it and grabbed it. It was bigger than I expected and wish I would have glassed that hill like I was supposed to last year. But I was stoked to pick it up!

I'll add one vote for the horn hunter full curl system. I got lucky and picked one up off of amazon for 179 shipped! It's the best pack I have ever owned. It's super comfortable and versatile. You can wear it as just the pack frame for sheds, or throw the big compartment on to pack out animals. And add a third little back pack on to have even more room. Which also doubles as a small day pack! It's basically 3 packs in one. I use it all the time for shed hunting and I just went on a newzealand backpack hunt for a week and it worked awesome!

Vortex vulture line 'please help'
joelpresmyk8 replied to joelpresmyk8's topic in Optics and tripods
I guess I should add I used to have the Viper 10x50s but I wanted a pair of 15s. I absolutely loved them but have just been waiting to buy a pair of 15x56s and the new vultures at that price will put me where I need to be to buy them -

I guess I've never seen a pair of binoculars that I had that problem with, is it that your eyes are straining too hard and they just get tired and you have to stop? -

Ok thank you guys for the fast input! I'm definitely the type to do a lot of studying but it's nice to hear from friends on this website with personal first hand info. -
Let me start off by saying I know when the elk and deer are "supposed" to drop, but I thought it would be a neat little game to see what you guys think personally. Take all factors into consideration (rut, temperature, elevation etc.) Basically a guessing game voiced out through this thread. Maybe give a general area where your from and a guess as to when you think the first elk shed will drop and when the first coues/ mule deer shed will drop. I'll start, IMO I live in camp verde Elk- I say first hits the ground where I go on march3 Coues- April 23rd Mule deer- April 1 st Like I said, just my guesses

I went out to glass for bulls today and stumbled across my first shed of 2014! And to top it off I glassed it up! This is the first time I have ever glassed up a shed! And found some big bulls so hopefully no one pushes them outta there. I was so excited!!

Forgot to mention it was way to far to get to today! So I'm hoping it will be there when I get back out there. Really hurt leaving it out there haha

Sorry if this is a dumb question but if it's going to a lottery, why does it mention the doors opening at a certain time and date? -

Please help me out! I can't seem to find the info I am looking for anywhere on their site or google. I just want to know how BURRIS Measures their xtr rings. They each have their measurement like the picture shows but it doesn't say if that's the saddle height or the height from the base to the center of scope anyone have the right info I need?! Thanks

Hey everybody, So I have been an archery hunter through my you get years and have never really rifle hunted until these last couple years. And this question me seem dumb or simple but I need advice from people who know a thing or two haha. On my rifle now I just have a cheap 4-16 x 44 and I was curious if I should buy something with a tad bigger objective lens and a little more zoom. I will be shooting out to 600 and mainly only hunting coues. Thanx so much for the help! Joel

Ok guys so I am looking at a vortex scope, does anyone have any feedback on any of their particular models?
-
Wow that's a lot of knowledge and I appreciate everything all of you have written! I really feel like I already have a better understanding of what I need to do now. I actually don't even know the brand but it was like a $80 scope. And I'm shooting it on my 30-06. But yeah I was actually looking at the vortex scopes because I love my binoculars and spotting scope through Vortex! Thanx again guys!

Thank you everyone so much! Such an amazing feeling!! And I figured I had to throw that in there haha. Maybe it means he will be a great coues hunter\fanatic!

Thank you guys so much for the kind words but I felt like it was the least I could do to help out. Like i said before, being in the same line of work and having been around the guys really hit me hard! And I am ecstatic with the results so far and we are continuing sheds for shots until the end of July! So if for any crazy reason your around camp verde and want to donate an old shed or two collecting dust send me a text! 928-202-9947 Joel

Ok so I just wanted everyone to know the sheds for shots function did awesome today at camp verde hausers corn stand. We got a good little pile of sheds donated from some amazing people sacrificing their sheds to help the families of the fallen 19 hot shots and for that I am sooo grateful and my words cant say enough. And I know everyone on here already knows that josh Epperson is a stand up guy! But I wanted to extend an extra special thanx to him for everything he has already done to help out the sheds for shots. He has really gone above and beyond with the help he has provided and I cant explain how much it helps and what it means to myself and my wife. He donated a monster set to help out with the funds going to the PFFC. Once again I cant explain how much he has helped out. I am very very grateful. AWESOME GUY!! And an amazing set of HUGE elk antlers he donated to the sheds for shots! Thank you josh!! Here are some pictures from today.

Hey everyone. As you all know what has transpired over this last weekend, I have been really wanting to do something!! I am in that line of work and I can't imagine what their poor families are going through! I wanted to start collecting whatever sheds anyone has laying around and then sell them and donate all the money to PFFC which is giving 100% of all donations to all the families! I live in camp verde and if anyone wants to meet just let me know! I really want to get the ball rolling on this and I have a little pile I will be adding as well! So if you have anything you can contribute please contact me through here, Facebook "Joel Presmyk", or through a text 928-202-9947 thank you guys! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Sorry 300 I am not exactly sure! There is a lot being donated and I think a lot of money is going to be raised. But I just wanted to do my part and help out however I could!
