    BIG BUCK

Ireland? I was commenting on how green it is! I was over in 34A and it looks the same. I love it. I heard today that a buck grows about 1/4" per day and usually stop growing around the first or second week of september. So if that is true, that buck could add four or five inches on his beams and points plus mass he'll be a TOAD!! happy hunting! OH YEA!! 1If you watch the video of the other one it too will be big. 90-95"

    BIG BUCK

I went out scouting a for a few days and came across 11 does and 8 yes 8 bucks. I saw a few three pointer to be where the ends of their antlers were dog bone looking but not yet gre and they had great eye guards and first points. The first pic was a nice spike that willl fork his first year. This buck here gets no justice as it has four points on eac side. Not eastern counting like including eyeguards this is four points on each side not counting eye guards. He was big and the body is also matching his size. This deer is going to have some nice measurements to it. I saw a deer close to thios one during pig season that was easily 120" 4 point buck. this one was about 2 miles as the crow flies away and could be in the gene pool. his rack looks alot like another on the wall that scored 115" rear view of him running away

    Trail cam suggestions and setup

Just a thought: Has anyone tried using lag screws inside a trail camera to attach it to a tree? Chances are good a bandit wouldn't be carrying a socket wrench when he finds it, and although he might have one in his truck, he'd have to be a real @#$%^! to walk out and back to steal it. You might come across a really bad guy who would destroy it while trying to get it off the tree, but you were going to lose the camera to him anyway. The ordinary, run-of-the-mill bad guy would see it can't be removed and leave it alone. Bill Quimby Thats a good idea , Kind of keeping an hoenst person honest. If the average jow sees it and opens it and sees lag screws he will close it and leave. But the guy who was going to see it woulkd be pissed and break the plastic to rip it off. But like you said he was going to take it anyway.

    BIG BUCK

Its unit 36b, its a big unit I am not worried about you taking my buck!! I actually saw this buck twice over two days. I am confident i can find him again. If not I can find two others that are 90" plus come hunting time. I accidently ran over my camera and it got stuck in camera mode. I do have a camera mode of a buck that will be around 90" when grown as it is alreayd pretty big. It just needs to have the 2nd and 3rd points break and grow as they look like the end of a dog bone. Anyone know where to host a media video? I have it from my camnera, Its a little hard to see but you can see it. I had REALLY bad allergies and have not had them in along time down their. The grass and bushes are so tall i saw a heard of javelina and when my brother in law went to go check them out on the mountain he was chest high and said, "I wont see them anyways" LOL

    Trail cam suggestions and setup

I went last week and picked up one camera from wal mart and have been testing it around the house. I was happy and went and bought two more. I believe they were 59.99. the time the sensored is triggered to the time the camera takes a pic is about 4 seconds. Do nto know if this is great or not. The mega pixel is 300k so I think iht is the same camera your talking about. This camera takes 4 cc batteris and takes 113 pics on high res without having to download to your computer. I have taken over 700 pics on one camera without replacing the C batteries yet. So thats a plus too. so far this camera is a go. Low pixels wont be printed in a magazine but it is detailed enough for me to see and know what i am looking at. heres a living room pic from a couple nights ago..
  18. I have never worried about colecting points for elk etc. I applied this year for elk and did not get drawn. Now... how do you get points to get drawn later? How do the points work? I show not drawn online but i have no points

    WANTED BY THE LAW

I am pretty sure the one your thinking of is the Chevy that had to be stolen and dumped out their. I saw one that when I was scouting it had a motor and tranny, when I was hunting the Chevy 454 in the dually were now missing.
  20. I got to the Cabellas and saw that the world record is their and in a full body mount. I know the taxidermist that work for Cabellas, Bass pro etc are turning alot of animals out, and I would suspect they are worki for them as they could not make it on their own... But this ios the worst Coues deer mount I have ever seen. It Is HORRIBLE!!!! I take my Coues deer to the most famous Coues mounting people their are in Tucson. They are always in magazines etc. for their wonderful Coues mounts. But come on... if your gonna have a world record make it look "real". Doyle/Lippert Taxidermy is the place to go for a coues deer mount......

    Coues World record at Cabellas

Bill, Do you know many people from Arivaca? The Schaffners who lived their for a LONG time and had shot hundres of Coues between the family. They had the big fenced in yard just as you entered into Arivaca on the Left. Richard Schaffner 1st, Jr , III- Frank Schaffner. Richard Schaffner ran and worked for Ed in his honey business for about 10 years. Later hunting with Ed. I think in his later years Ed and Doyle were goit o Yuma alot to hunt. I think they were a couple of 4 or 5 people. Ed always loved the deer in Big Sandy!!!! Like Kim who had the 3rd largest deer for ahwile but has now slipped to 6th I think. He has an archery shop inside Doyles now. Richard Schaffner taught Kim how to hunt. The people that live in the area and 36b never hunted for trophey game it was for food. That is why some good size antlers were always tossed behind the shed.

    Coues World record at Cabellas

i was not aware of that, i talked to the owner guy and he said that the real record holder was in texas, maybe they do that to spread the world record deer around to more then one store?

    lion in the 36A,B & C

My brother in law lived in Arivaca for more then 25 years and taught one of the top 10 coues record holders how to shoot, he taught Ed stockwell( world record coues deer) kids how to hunt. He hunted with Ed and everyoune from that area. We too will be in the Oct hunt. We will be up their the entire month of Oct doing scoutintg and setting trail cams. Your welcome to ring me if youd like to come up.

    Coues World record at Cabellas

what do you mean replicas? as in fake racks? made from a mold? Or do you mean original racks but different bodies? cause I believe most racks are not on the orginal head. The world record rack shot by Ed Stockwell sat behind his shed for a few years before he decided to ever have it measured. The antlers were never on the original mount.... now I am curious if the antlers were real or if they are reproductions.
