most the burned areas in Southern AZ have been fairly well grown over in the last month. Im not sure how bad that area was burned but the Murphy fire in 36B that went all the way down and over to almost Ruby is hard to tell there was even a fire. very nice and deer everywhere.

I have finally found a house on the east side of town, It is over off the 202 and elliot. Super excited!!! ANyone else live out that way?

the last few years if you found water you found deer. This year that area has a ton of water everywhere. the last week has sent a large amount of water, filled up some dried ponds, and flowed a few streams. more is to be expected this week as well. 36A has deer everywhere. I have hunted there right out of Arivaca 20 minutes away and tagged out with two others 3 years in a row on the same mountain. There are a lot of deer everywhere in A.

Is that the one from a couple years ago in 36c?

Well things changed and I am still on the west side. Dysart and I10. I will host a BBQ on a sunday in the next couple weeks if anyone wants to get together. ill get up early and smoke some meat if anyone wants.... any thoughts? place is big enough for a bunch of rowdys.....

Actually, Ed Stockwell's record antlers were mounted on many capes over the years. It was remounted every few years at no cost to Ed by taxidermist John Doyle, using capes from his shop. Steinfeld's department store in Tucson had a major gun show every fall, and Stockwell's buck, along with firearms and other big game mounts would be on display in the store's window at Stone and Pennington to promote the show. Doyle felt the B&C record Coues deer deserved the best mount possible. I used a photo I took of Ed with his record buck when I sketched the line drawing Amanda uses at the top of this forum. If anything, the antlers of Ed's buck were even heavier than I drew them. Bill Quimby Ya, I knew it was redone every few years. I dont know if you have been in the Cabelas in Phoenix... but the replicas to show them is a puny little deer and a terrible mount. I have everything I do done at Doyles.

World Record rifle is ALSO in Az... Ed Stockwell 144 1/8" shot in 1953... I believe that is the score. Barbara and little eddie have the original mount. the antlers were never mounted on the original cape. You can see replicas in the Phoenix Cabelas. However the deer they are mounted on is the WORST body mount I have ever seen

I think one friend has a early nov hunt Ill be back out there for as well. Ive seen your truck off and on for over a year. its funny. someone else has a green SD and I was thinking dang was I seeing things when I first started seeing it. I finally decided to take a pi and post it... I figured eventually someone would find my post. LOL headed back out next weekend to scout some more.

I am sure I speak for many on here who have seen a deer go into a bush, and you send someone over while still watching and there is nothing there... SNEAKY little devils!

Thinking of heading out Early in the morning around 330-4am. Then driving down. with it being hot I rarely leave the vehicle but with a jeep we go about anywhere we want. LOL Ill get out and climb a couple hills that I know of some good vantage points. If anyone wants to go let me know.

Forum was down to hook up with anyone last weekend. I'm thinking about headed out Sat after work and coming hone Sunday, ilk load my tent and stuff.... anyone up for it.

If I am not hunting in 36B I hunt across the road at 36A. My nephew ha killed 4 consecutive deer in 36a walking distance from the cabin in Arivaca. I can show you some incredible areas that are easy to get to and will guarantee a buck or two for your son. I will probably be down that way on this Sunday and at least every other weekend or so till my hunt in early Oct.

That may be a plan. I want to try and get a couple cameras up in the area as well. I have a few ideas for some places. Otherwise I like driving around and see whats about

Ya, I saw you. Liked your tire cover. I got over and was going slow and you were super stuck behind cars. Was working and day was only half over... UGGG just got home. THats my route out that way
