2018 Vortex Viper HD 20-60x85mm straight. Like brand new. Love this scope, but it sadly doesn't fit in the spotting scope pocket of my pack. $775 Opticron MM3 12-36x50mm angled. Super light and compact, just not quite the magnification I was looking for. Birders rave about these. $375 Might be willing to trade for a 65mm or even an 80mm if it fits my pack.

Price drop again. Someone make an offer or a trade for a 65mm spotter or a smaller 80mm spotter. Can meet at Bass pro or Sportsman's in Mesa. I really like the Viper HD 85mm. It's a bummer it doesn't fit in my pack pocket. The Opticron is also super nice and lightweight but I just don't have the need for a 50mm spotter.

Angled Scope. Like new condition. Glass is perfect. Only mounted on a tripod a handful of times. I thought I would use this more, but it just sits in favor of my 85mm spotter. Super clear and bright, often compared to the vortex razor 50mm. The birders love these things, and their reviews online are what ultimately led me to buy it. Would be great for someone just looking to get a better look at a deer they found with their 10's or 15's. As you can see also very small and lightweight. Discontinued last year for the newer mm4 model. Not sure what changed but they both have the ED glass. Adorama and a few other places still have these for $685. I'm asking $500. Meet at Bass Pro in Mesa if possible.

I way more attention to the wind in December. When's it's freezing cold and the wind is howling, tough it out and glass into the wind. All the deer are on the calm hillsides.

The biggest problem with long range shooting is the average guy lobbing bullets at animals and not going to look after a miss because they saw it on the internet once. The second biggest problem is people shooting past or over other people. Plenty of people can shoot at animals at longer distances ethically. A heck of a whole bunch more can not. Nothing bugs me more than watching an episode of something like the mountain project and watching them take long shots and miss several times and then hit an animal in the butt. Now the average Joe thinks that's okay.. (Not trying to put down the mountain project. I like the show and the guys) Again. I'm not saying people can't and don't do it ethically. Just stop bragging about it. It doesn't look good to non hunters and you get copy cats that do it because it's "cool" with no practice or experience.

The guilty never deny. They just want to know what kind of proof you have.

So a judge signed a search warrant and then another judge that is a family friend dismissed the charges? My guess is this ends up at a higher court level. Ironically that could make it harder on 777 because the next judge might not be so forgiving. Probably should have taken the slap on the wrist from the judge he knew

Maybe because it's tough to glass. But in glassable country, if a picture of a big enough buck or bull is taken there is a dang good chance it's dead. And I think a lot of outfitters would tell you the same thing.

Fair enough, and I get where you are coming from. The difference is that it's for profit. When the guy pulling the trigger gets called to an animal he pre selected out of a book after 20 guys are spread out looking for him.... It just doesn't seem right. So maybe my problem isn't with cameras and with how guides are now operating for the big animals? I have no problem if you see a picture and set out to go and kill that animal. It's difficult because you can only be in one place at a time. It's different when you pay someone to be in 20 places at once and get called to it's location.
