I always wondered how many people knew about them. I've got a quite few on trail cam and glassed up a few more, but have always been chasing elk when I saw them.

I have a weatherby vanguard that does the exact same thing. The way I fixed it was to buy a remy 700.

I've had three e-callers now, until last week I had never called a dog with a e-call and several with hand calls along with a couple foxes. Last week found a fox pro prairie blaster on clearance. Since then 3 song dogs thought they were having deer for breakfast and got lead poisoning instead. I do like hand calls, but if I can get more coyotes with an e-caller that's what I'll use.

The BC of the lrab in 6.5 is .561. The .277 lrab is .625. Cutting edge has a .277 130gr bullet with a BC of .540. Still not seeing a big advantage in bullet selection. However the .26 would be the clear winner in the muzzle flash contest.

Looks to me like it won't do anything the 270 wsm won't, except burn a lot more powder and $$$ doing it.

Used the 130 gr ttsx in a 270wsm for a coues buck a couple years ago. From 274 yds the bullet hit him in the throat and exited 4" to the 8 o'clock of his tail. Best penetrating bullet I have used.

Maybe it was a bad camera angle and the Frenchman really kicked a pebble over and the squirrel really jumped because he was tired of living a life begging from tree hugging tofu farting fairies.

Looks a little like baranof island but guessing Douglas or admiralty. No place on earth more beautiful

Had the great guys at the TSA break all four lock on my skb on the way to Alaska a few years ago. From the time I called them to the time I had new locks in hand was three days. I thought that was very impressive as sometimes it took that long to get a phone call out of that place.

If it were me I would full length size the first time after fire forming then neck size after that. Neck sizing will result in better case life and will likely be more accurate as the case will be a perfect fit in your action. I would go with either rcbs or Hornady dies and make sure they are the Ackley version as there are other improved versions.

I've had really good luck with rl-22 but have only used Barnes and swift tipped 130gr

I like the 270 wsm, but if you want to go 600yds on elk I would go 300wsm. I think it can be ordered but if not 300wm or 7 mag. -
If we could only get that gang enrolled in the same healthcare program as the jags.

If their already here they should be granted amnesty.

I had a heli buzz and run off some elk I was watching in 19a on a cow hunt a couple years ago. Reported it but they told me not to worry it was theirs.

At what point should we restrict people making restrictions. We already have enough, that no one could read them all in a life time. You do your thing, I'll do mine.

From my experience when you have a 1000 lb Brown at 50yds throwing his head with strings of snot flying through the air and turning alders to kindling. Giving you every indication that things are about to get western, recoil will be the last thing on your mind.- 27 replies

I had a savage 111 in 300 win mag and honestly I would much rather shoot the .375. The xcr came with the limbsaver recoil pad, helps a ton. I also had A ruger Hawkeye up there it did not take it as well. The 375 has a deceiving kick, a big push rather than sharp jolt. Off hand or sitting down is very comfortable laying down you will notice it.- 27 replies

My Remington 700 xcr 375H&H spent 4 summers on the west coast of Alaska laying on the banks of holes and getting rained on. Still looks and functions like new. Awesome gun that will take anything you throw at it!- 27 replies
