Please dont judge the entire hunting community by the elite wannabe attitude of the few on Coues Whitetail. Step away from this website you will see Vortex outsells Swarovski almost 10-1 (based on annual sales in North America). Reason is other than select hunting out west (especially Coues) most hunters have no need for Swarovski quality or outrageous price tag.

All it says are they are gonna be looking at those areas. Guess i dont see why so much worry as those are the same areas they always look at when fair chase is concerned.

Ethical hunting and fair chase is always a good thing to revisit from time to time, especially with the technology available these days. Some will be offended I am sure, but someone is always offended anymore so who cares.

"It takes many good deeds to build a good reputation, and only one bad one to lose it" -This quote should hit home with Mr Weirs- I have done a lot in my life as well...many good deeds...served my country...introduced new hunters...helped the poor...etc...who cares. And I see rams all the time, they become a nuisance once in a while, block me from going to work, have to honk the horn to get them off the road...nothing exciting about shooting one of them, especially when it takes a posse of guys to do the work. I dont know anything about you Capt, and I really dont care either way, but i know about Jerry, and I am not one who will easily forget those who tried to steal from me or my fellow sportsmen. It is a good reminder anytime we see the names of those involved with the ol AZSFW to bring it up again and keep it fresh as a way to ensure it never happens again...and I will always do my damnedest to ensure the common hunters in AZ never get raped by any form of SFW. If that means someone gets offended by comments about their ram...so be it.

I like the look of the Sako and the action on the Sako's are much better/smoother than remington.

I scout for sign before i ever bother glassing. If i am seeing a lot of sign, tracks and poop, i will come back another time and glass. I will glass a few hours in the morning before moving to another area. You just never know when something might pop up.

Just get a bell&carlson on stockys for $249

Dont spend the money on Christiansen or legendary etc as they wont shoot any better than a $500 tikka. If you are determined to spend the money I would rather buy a $450 remington and have a custom barrel and stock of your choice put on and still be in for same price as one of the afformentioned guns.

Get the biggest caliber you will be comfortable shooting. One rifle to do it all would be 300 win mag or 7mm mag as mentioned above.
