    My first Javelina

Why do you say the blades did not open? Was the yellow band off? I just ask because a lot of people think the blades dont open on the swhacker when in reality they did but they dont lock open. They will go back closed if they dont exit the animal or even if they do exit they can go back closed. They still work as they should while the arrow is moving forward.
  10. R17 great in the 308 with heavy bullets. R17 with 208 gn amax is awesome.

    Ron's Big Dec Buck!

Good buck...yes the photos are deceiving...in a good way. I always just block out the hunter in my mind and compare the antlers to the deer's head and ears if i want to see just how big the deer is. You can still have a cool looking picture and be able to decipher the image if you want to get an actual size of the animal. I appreciate a good picture when people take time to prepare the pic and make sure the tongue is away and blood is removed.

    Bow advice

I have shot all major brand bows and they are all nice. Just a personal preference as to which you will like. I would worry about ibo speed a little as there is no reason nowadays to get anything with an ibo under 330. You can get a smooth as silk 7" brace height bow with a solid back wall and zero vibration that still has an ibo of 340. The faster the better as long as you dont sacrifice smoothness or accuracy. Some speed bows are a bear to draw. I think elite is about the best overall bow there is anymore. if you want extremely smooth and quiet but maybe not as fast go with mathews. Mathews does have the MR series which are faster and amazing as well. Hoyt is great all around but you will either love it or hate it. My opinion is the latter of the two. The new PSE DNA would be top of the list too. Bowtech again is a good bow but They have had some limb peeling issues as of late. I also would recommend looking at archerytalk for a used bow. I have bought 10 or so bows off there and you can get a great deal and have more money for better accesories. If you shoot one and like it, go look on archery talk and see if one is available. Make sure you buy from someone with good feedback if you do. If you want to shoot a strother i have a couple you can try out. Strother makes very fast bows that are smooth and have the best back wall available. Just have a less of a following and customer service can be a pain.

Gun Confiscation - How it will happen

Man you guys give too much credit to "the other side" and must have a very low view of yourselves and other conservatives. If us gun owners are so weak and easily controlled, maybe we should give up our guns??? Point is, we will never be disarmed and quit living in fear of government and some liberal agendas. Fight back for heavens sake and control your own future. Assault rifle ban is not the end of the world as we know it.
  18. True brotherhood is the marine corps, not the union. Fight along someone for your life and freedom, not for another dollar.
  19. I have been a union member (never again) and a member of a huge union. I am very informed and i know from experience that unions are bad for society. Some may like them, some hate them, but in the long run unions put companies out of business and promote laziness. Companies need to be able to fire and hire as wanted in order to survive. Companies need to be able to pay according to performance to survive, companies need to be able to pay the same low wage entry level job accordingly for years and years. If you want a promotion or raise, work hard and earn it. At the end of the day, who signs your paycheck? The company or the union?
  20. And now unions are destroying this country. Unions promote laziness among workers. They pay a lazy worker the same as a hard worker and do not recognize the hard worker in any way. If anything the unions get mad at the hard worker for making the lazy worker look bad. I speak from experience and that is the reason i am no longer in the union and never will be again!
