Details are show up and shoot three to five courses with pistol of your choice. Courses. COnsist of steel targets from 10-25 ft usually. You start out in novice or "d" class and work your way up to 'a' class over the months. The first time there you have to show up early and take a quick class. It can be a lot of fun but also spend a lot of time sitting around watching others shoot. Phoenix Rod and Gun club has the steel match every thursday night starting at 4 and its usually not as crowded. Usery range begins at 3 for early shooters. -
I have a mule deer shed you can have. Meet me tomorrow somewhere at bass pronif you want it.

I did for a while. I might come back now that they banned the guy that everyone hated. -
Good thing, cause you'll need it Funny you would say that cause the original leica crf 1600 had more problems than any other rangefinder at the time. That is why there is a 1600-b now. I like leica products for sure and vortex products have their place in the hunting community now and they are very good products as well.

4b wildlife manager????? Just curious. Call game and fish and report him if you know who it is. They do not want crappy wm's so they say. Supposedly the guys in the office are pretty oblivious to the guys in the field.

And also you should take a look at the warranty side of the rangefinder. Vortex covers the entire rangefinder forever if something should go wrong or even if you drop it and it breaks. Leica warranty on rangefinders leaves something to be desired. And in case you forget it on a hill and its gone forever, you are only out 379 instead of 649-799 (been there).

I had the leica crf 1600. I Sold it and am buying the vortex. The vortex does what i want it to. The leica did not. The glass on the vortex is very good for a rangefinder. Not as good as the leica glass but nothing is. The vortex glass and readout is right up there with swaro and leica and better than leuPold or bushnell. I would definitely recommend the vortex over the leica for archery or normal hunting situations. If you are into long range the leica will have the edge. The price difference is not really worth it. Compare them for yourself and see.

AS a newer member to this site, I appreciated the knowledge and experience some of the long time members of this site had to share. I know some of the guys were fed up with the BS and seems the AZSFW thing really pushed some guys over the edge. I would like to put out a request to some of the people to come back who have seemed to vanish. Respectfully so I understand why many of them have left and dont blame them for doing so. I decided to name this ROll Call to see if some former members who were so prevelant here are still around. Thanks to those who have stuck it out and still grace us with your presence. Your knowledge base is very useful in the future of hunting in Arizona and I for one do not want to forget the way things were years ago. Thank You Bill Quimby for helping with that aspect. I do not know many of these people personally but have learned quite a bit from reading older posts. Love them or hate them, that is not what this is about. Post up some names of the "Great Ones" or the names you think of when you think of this site or just names that seem to pop up a lot on posts. -Amanda aka Coueswhitetail -Bill Quimby -Coues-n-Sheep -.270 -Firstcoueswas80 -OutdoorWriter -TjHunt2 -Red Rabbit -Chef -BoneCollector There are many more so post them up and thanks to the names above for helping to make this site what it is.

Previous member stated it shot under 1" groups. Gun has camo stock, muzzle brake, chinese mauser action, custom barrel. Built by Chris Horn in Flag. Action is drilled and tapped with scope base and rings. Pm for pics

This thread is meant to bring some names back we havent heard in a while. Maybe show some current members and former members that have helped make this site what it is. Please do not turn this into a discussion. Just throw out some names and maybe a quick word or two about that person. Thanks

Telephoto Lens Options
AverageJoe replied to AntlerObsession's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Digiscope is the way to go if you want good 600 yd pics. I have a canon eos 6 and a few differet lenses but nothing will get you close at 600 yds other than digiscoping with a good spotter. -
