    Boogie Monster!

Yeah we fished there a fewtimes but never had much luck. I think we caught a few cats if i remember right (lake by the naval hospital?) My buddy and i used to mainly fish up at lake cuyumaca near julian. It was a bit of a drive but worth it. We would catch trout and catfish all day. I always wanted to hunt the deer on camp pendleton as we would always see many out in the field.

    Boogie Monster!

Thats a ch53 not 56. Made me have to look it up. Spent four years next to those things in the Marines. When those took off you knew it. They would hover over our barracks on sunday mornings and wake me up every time. Sometimes i had to hold stuff down from falling iff shelves. They truly are amazing close up.

    Zen Ray

I use the 10x43 as my pack around binos. They sit in the truck a lot as my quick go to binos. They are pretty good glass for the money. I have had mine for 4 years now and they still work fine. The glass is as clear as my vortex kaibabs. The eyecups leave something to be desired. Overall i would say get them if you are interested. You wont be dissapointed. I would rate them 8 out of 10. 10 out of 10 being leica ultravids, 7 out of 10 being nikon monarchs, etc. slightly brighter than nikons but not as durable. The company has been good to me as well. Quick response with any questions i have ever had. Although i havent talked with them in a few years. If you want to look through them, they are pretty beat up but the glass is still good. Let me know and i can meet you somewhere to look through them.

    Bear defense

Way more accurate? Look at the most used gun in pistol matches, its a glock. The 1911 is not the worst gun ever, however, the springfield 1911 i owned was the worst pistol I have ever owned. Jammed like crazy and takedown just takes too long. When comparing pistols i compare them all to each other. The glock comes out on top in all categories. There are pistols now that resemble glock (xd) and are just as good. The 1911 is outdated but still fun to shoot and a cool piece of history.

    Bear defense

Hah, worst gun i ever had was a springfield 1911. Best gun ever, you guessed it, a glock.

    Bear defense

I have come within ten feet of a bear twice in the last year. Neither wanted to hurt me, just get away. One was a big boar too. We locked eyes for a minute then he turned around and hauled up the hill. I think it was when i growled at him that made him run away.

    Bear defense

I was in the same situation last year. I ended up getting a 44 mag but never use it due to its size. I still carry my s&w 38 revolver. I carry a glock 22 on occasion but it is not as cOmfortable as my .38. I would say go with a glock of ur liking. Plenty to choose from that will fit your need.

how many points do you have?

Most sites i have been on have an annual wyoming trip or something similar. Cwt is one of the only sites that does not have one. If anyone is interested in wyoming antelope i would be happy to help you through the process. It is a great time and great hunt. Most of the time you can hunt every other year and get up to 6 antelope. Pm for details. I too think we should have a cwt wyoming antelope hunt. It would be a blast.

    Anyone shoot a strother?

Strother doesnt have bad customer service, just hard to find parts if you need some. No one in arizona is a strother dealer anymore. Robert at broken arrow archery can help you out though if you need something. I havent shot a pse recently so i cant comment on it but i can say i now prefer strother over bowtech and matthews. Never have liked Hoyt.

    Anyone shoot a strother?

I own and shoot a strother sr71. I absoltely love it. It is the best bow i have shot and in my opinion it is the best bow period. I have owned a matthews switchback, bowtech allegiance, and biwtech captain. The sr71 is faster than all of them and the funny thing is it is smoother and quieter than the others too. Good bows but have bad support if you need something

    Wyoming Left over Antelope permits

You can get leftover doe tags in many units and have a great time. I did last year in unit 73. Got two doe tags. Also you can get a leftover buck tag in 30 or 31 and still have a good hunt. There is public land there but not much. You can pay a trespass fee and kill a good buck. Trespass fee will be 100-300 dollars for that unit. If you want you can get 6 tags for those units as there are so many leftover. Pm me for any further details

    30-06 For Long Range?

My vortex has killed everything i aimed it at from 100-600 yds. Accurate as heck. NO problems with it at the range or in the field. You must have had bad ones! Mine is way better than my leupold vx-3. Leaps and bounds better than that scope.

    30-06 For Long Range?

If you are considering a new scope I would look at the vortex viper scopes. A little better clarity than nikon and a great scope. You can find the older viper 6.5-20x44 for anywhere from 279.99 and up. The newer viper hs will run a little more. In the 450 range.
