I agree... go with the 7mag. Not really much gain with the .300

I am looking for Dies, Brass, and maybe partial boxes of bullets. Please let me know what you have. I have lots of other components I can trade, or pay cash for the right stuff.

Lots of snow around Williams. They had permits left last Friday.

Anybody have any luck on the first hunt? Has anyone heard of a radio collared buck getting killed?

Wasn't the biggest we saw, but he decide he liked this buck. Took a lot of crawling and a 200yd shot. It was a great hunt.

I've talked to him plenty of times. I'll ask about the collared buck, but I doubt he has much useful info.

They have been going crazy by our place from about 2am until 6am and even later some mornings.

I left a set in for about 14 months and they were fine. Been out for about 5 years and look great. It might make a difference depending on how developed the are.

I have killed several with 85gr gamekings. They always worked well.

We got a pretty good rain just west of parks last night. I didn't check to see how much, but it filled our 100gl rain barrels.

I have tinkered with about everything mentioned here. My opinion, browning xbolt. Best factory gun for the money. After the rebate I bought mine for less than $450. Another good one was the tc compass. Just my thoughts. Really can't go wrong with most of what was said here. I do agree with spending as much as you can on a good scope. Let us know what you decide
