That is a tough hunt. It took us a few years to figure it out. Best thing to do is get in and fill your tag opening morning. The last 5 tags we have had we filled in the first 3 hours of the hunt. Once they get pressured they change their normal routine. Sounds like you did pretty good to keep on them.

I like the energizer headlamp from Wal-Mart. It has a few brightness settings and it clips to my hat. I usually hold it in my hand as I am walking and then clip it to my hat when I need a free hand. It works really well for me and is pretty cheap.

100gr accubond going over 3800fps hit a couse at 354yds in the shoulder and stopped under the hide on the rear ham.
