    Stuff for Sale

We are getting ready to move so I am getting rid of a few things. Not looking to get rich, so make an offer if there is something you need. I live in Cordes and work in Dewey so I can meet in those areas. I am also willing to ship, but it might be a few days before I get to the post office. Remington 870 stock cut down for a Youth or Lady. Has a hand rubbed oil finish. $35 3 Old trail cameras. All of these worked when I took them own last, but they have been siting for awhile. The black one is missing a spring in the battery compartment and is rusted pretty bad. The camo one takes a 6v battery and in missing one of the alligator clips. I always just twisted the wire to the battery. If you wanted to tinker with these a bit, I think they will all work, but I am selling them as is. $35 Bell and Carlson Winchester m70 stock. I took this off of a project rifle I bought for the action. There is a crack in the fiberglass and the stock has some old bedding in it. The gun was stuck in the stock when I got it and I had to use my action puller to get it out. A little work and a new bed job, it should be good to go. $50 No picture of this one. I have a ruger 10/22 barrel. It is a factory barrel with about 50rds through it. I turned the barrel band off where the front sight is and painted the barrel black. I use to carry it in my truck and the front sight would rub holes in the back seat so I cut it off. It shoots good. $30

    new toy, what to build..?

In my opinion, this action is better suited for a lightweight compact rifle. Something you can use a 20in barrel and still get satisfactory velocity.

    30/30 for elk

I would think that Partition load would work great at those distances. Does a number on bears.

    Favorite Family Memories

We have had our boy out on a few camping trips already, but Friday was his first time out hunting with us. At 10mo he is running around like crazy and loves being outside. He loved riding around in the pack and seeing new things. It was a great day out with the family, and as a bonus his mom killed a pig with her bow. I can't wait to make more memories in the future. Ready to go

    new toy, what to build..?

That is a cool action for a custom build. I chambered mine in .243AI. If I had another chance, I think I would go .260AI. Let us know what you decide.

    Sportsmans Expo?

Personally I think this event use to be a lot better. It seems like it has really gone down hill in the last few years. I use to really enjoy all the seminars they had, but now they seem pretty lame. In years past they had the Gunwerks guys, Cameron Hanes, Mark Healey, Randy Ulmer, and several others I am sure I am forgetting. There also use to be a lot of good deals on new products, magazine subscriptions, and other hunting related gear. Last time I went there were more non hunting related booths than hunting related. It also doesn't help that it is the only weekend you can hunt Javalina on the general hunt.

    19a Cow Hunt

Here is the cow I shot last month on the late hunt. This is right where she fell. We didn't hardly have enough room to break her down. Hardest stalk, hardest shot, hardest pack out, I have ever had on a cow hunt. In 19a finding them is the easy part.

    6.5 creed bullet choice help.

Here is one of the 162gr Amax bullets I recovered from my cow elk this year. I was very impressed with how well the bullet held together. This bullet went through both shoulder blades and stopped under the hide. Impact velocity was around 2100fps.

NEW UNFIRED TC DIMENSION 7MM MAG

I bought this gun 2 years ago thinking I was going to use it for a deer rifle. Instead I built a .280AI and really have no need for this gun. I don't have the box, but it is brand new and has never been shot. I would like to get $565 out of it. Might be open to trades for other guns or optics of similar value. This picture is not the actual gun, but looks just the same.

    Snowstorm Bobcat

Ordered a new Firestorm from the bargain cave on Monday after Christmas. It showed up at the house on the 31st, so on the 1st we headed out in the snow to break it in. First stand about 8am was a blank. On the way to our next spot we cut a set of cat tracks, so we parked and walked in about 300yds to a draw we usually call for foxes. About the 7min mark I had a fox show up at about 60yds. He eventually left without ever getting into range. At 21min I caught a flash of red through the pines. I was thinking another fox until she hit a clearing at about 70yds. I waited until she was behind a snow drift to raise the gun and follow here all the way in. She hung up about 10yds from the call. When she turned to leave, I shot her at about 25yds. First shot was thru some brush and I had to shoot 1 more time as she was running away at about 40yds. Made for a great morning! At 14lbs she is not the biggest cat, but she is about average for what we seem to get. Our Setup Where she fell

    bobcats

I have called them in with lots of different rabbit and bird sounds. I think the key is getting in close before you call. I am sure others here can offer more advice. The FoxPro will help for sure.
