Awesome bulls. I have no problem with the auction tags, and would do them if I could afford it. The one thing I personally would like to see, is that the tag is only good during open hunting seasons, not 365 days a year. But hey, he didn't make the rules, so good for him. What a fun tag to have, hunt all year.

Yea, that bull is a stud A3just killed. Both bulls they just killed are huge.

There are basically 2 rounds of draws. The first round takes the top 20 percent of tags for each hunt code. The second round then does the random draw of 80 percent. In your case, you did not have enough points for the first round for the 12b tag, so they went to your second choice. You did have enough points to be in the top 20 percent, so you get the tag. You never got to phase 2 of the draw. Or the 80 percent random draw.

I will be using the 100 grain G5 Montecs. Why are you thinking of switching? Shoot whatever flies the best out of your setup.

Unless your doing long back-country hunts, what is wrong with the 2200? Also, if your not using that, would be good for the wife. I do have the full curl and its a good backpacking pack.
