On the topic that was the start of this thread I still have yet to see any wording disproving what comments I made. Only thing I have heard is this grey area stuff. I love cops but not grey area cops, your legally sworn officer of the law just like a lawyer, judge and its your duty to uphold the law in a legal and ethical manner. Not trying to start anything just answer the question that was first asked to the best of my knowledge.

Their is no gray area with the law it is legal or illegal. That is why we have the legal system to protect us from these (grey area) laws cops make up. Loved the worthless comment Joe some would say the same about these grey area laws you speak of.

Yeah pretty much or he could obviously not write you a ticket for going five over which my dad said he has beaten in his second year out of law school. But then is your ticket gonna be less than your legal fees? Probably that's what they are hoping for so you just pay the ticket, my dad just eats them for a mid day snack.

No they will have to get a court order before they can run your SN. That's why I believe as stated above when some rookie cop called his boss for back up the gun was never ran. No judge wants his name on that warrant cause even if the gun does come up dirty but not from the specific crime it was initially ran for it will be thrown out of court. So yeah your rights are violated if you agree but then the cop might be less likely to write you a ticket for the initial violation, like happened in the start of the post.

My dad is a lawyer for over 30 years in the valley and he said the only way he could legally run your serial number is if it general description was involved in a specific crime. If u said no to letting him run your sn he would have to get a court order to run that gun for a specific crime. Most judges would laugh at that warrant. If the gun came up stolen or from even another crime legally the court would have to throw your case out(gun evidence) due to the fact your gun was initially seized on a warrant that was not valid. Kinda crazy world we live in.

I have my grandpa's desert big horn sheep mount and it has been in his outdoor garage for over 15 years. The hair is extremely brittle and the horns have lost color any advice to help it out would be greatly appreciated. I will post pictures if needed.

I would have to say a rifle left around a water hole and a camper set up before the hunt is completely different. I see a gun I think some poor dude lost his gun take it and post it on cwt. This place is amazing on getting lost game and weapons to their rightful owners but I if see a trailer I don't take it.

I have a cabin in 6A and put in for 6A and 6B, also at that time we put in both ankles were not made of metal. Thanks for the advice though.... Sad part is he would not have to ask for any help because we should be up their scouting for the hunt like we always do but instead I have the task of cleaning out my recently passed away grandfathers house and get ready for a funeral. We already have a few areas we are going to hunt just looking for any extra information to help my best friend with two messed up ankles get his first big game animal.
